What an absolute delight!! We were visiting the area for a wedding the next day and popped out for a bite to eat. Little did we know that we had stumbled upon one of the best places we’ve eaten in a long time. The decor is fabulous and being a warm night we were grateful to be sat next to an open frontage. Being a diabetic I really struggle to find items on a menu suitable for me and it’s usually a process of elimination but tonight I was spoiled for choice! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, a little chatty but knew when to walk away telling us to enjoy our food. They brought us a lovely basket of pitta bread with tzatziki, chilli dip and olives to nibble on while we awaited our starters. I have to say the hummus was amazing! They had clearly shelled every chickpea as it was silky smooth which can only be achieved by laboriously removing every skin. The lamb was utterly delicious!! We shared starters so I also got to taste the falafels… I’m glad I did as they were very tasty. My husband had liver and I had steak which was cooked to perfection! When I asked for a little butter or sour cream to go on top the owner immediately asked if I would like the chef to make me a creamy sauce to go on top which was very much appreciated. How kind and thoughtful. When getting to chat with the owner about Turkish wines he brought my husband a glass and asked if he liked it. When my husband said yes he immediately gave my husband a bottle as a ‘gift’. Before leaving we grabbed a few of their flyers and have put them with a note our Airbnb host asking her to offer them to her guests. We would highly recommend you to try this place. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hatche, the charming new restaurant in Potters Bar. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that instantly made me feel like part of their family. The service was impeccable, with the staff going out of their way to ensure I had a truly memorable experience.

What's more, I've been back to Hatche five times since its opening, and it consistently delivers a fantastic dining experience. It has become my go-to spot for satisfying my cravings for delicious Mediterranean food. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual meal out, Hatche never disappoints.

5 stars all around! I'm visiting from California and haven't had a ton of Turkish food before, but this blew me away. Everything from the second we walked in until the moment we left was outstanding. The staff was attentive and went the extra mile to recommend dishes/make sure the timing of courses was to our preference, the menu had enough to interest everyone without being too expansive, good wine selection, fantastic food - we had the falafel, octopus, lamb & chicken skewers, and kleftico - we ended up passing on dessert because we were too full but they brought out free baklava for us anyway, and then Murat came out as well to chat with us and sent us home with some craft beers as well to try when we got home. Was such a personalized experience and will definitely be a staple for me when I move here...
