This review is for the Pub and not the Hotel!

I recently hosted my husband's 50th birthday at this venue, and I cannot express how thrilled we were with the experience! We booked before the renovations, and we were hopeful for positive changes. When we arrived on the big day, we were absolutely delighted with what we found.

The new room setup was fantastic! It encouraged a relaxed atmosphere, allowing for ample seating and giving guests the opportunity to mingle freely. People loved "playing musical chairs" throughout the evening, moving around to chat with different friends and family. This layout truly facilitated conversation, making the event even more enjoyable than we had anticipated.

The food was also a highlight—fresh and delicious! Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

A special shoutout to Paul and Dan, who were incredible hosts. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive and supportive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The timing of the food service was impeccable, which contributed to the overall success of the evening.

The only downside was that we hadn’t realized the venue was dog-friendly, so our dog missed out on the fun.

I highly recommend this venue for any event! With its location so close to the station, it makes access easy. The renovations have made a significant positive impact, and the staff's dedication to customer service is truly commendable. Thank you for making my husband's milestone birthday...

In the heart of the town, a gem I've found, A pub called "The Red Lion," where joy abound. With five stars in my heart, I sing its praise, In poetic verse, I'll share the wondrous days.

Beneath the sign adorned with regal might, I stepped inside and found a warm, soft light. A cozy haven from life's daily grind, "The Red Lion" is a treasure I'm inclined to find.

The atmosphere, a blend of old and new, With history's touch in every shade and hue. The wooden beams, a time-worn tale they weave, In cozy corners, secrets they conceive.

The bartenders, they pour with skill and grace, Their laughter echoing through the hallowed space. The ale and lagers, a connoisseur's delight, With each sip, my spirit takes its flight.

The menu, a symphony of tastes divine, From classic pub grub to dishes so fine. Bangers and mash, a hearty, comforting feast, And seafood platters, a flavorful beast.

The patrons, a diverse and friendly lot, In conversation, stories are often wrought. New friends and old, the laughter's free, In "The Red Lion," the soul finds glee.

Live music's tune, a sweet, melodious song, To the rhythm of life, we all belong. The Red Lion's heart beats strong and true, A place where dreams and memories brew.

The incident began at the train station and continued along the road, eventually taking place outside the pub but still on its property, in the area with chairs and umbrellas. While outside with a drink, the customer asked where you were from. After you replied with your European country of origin, the customer swore at you and told you, “You’re not British, get out of here.” When the police arrived, the customer went inside the pub to hide.

“It is very difficult to feel integrated in this country when encountering racist behaviour like this in Radlett. Such conduct is both shocking and unacceptable. Furthermore, it appears the manager was not aware of the situation.”

I couldn't sleep last night because of the situation on the train station and the pub.

I felt Unwelcomed. hurt, stressed about the situation, even other customers did not come to help or stop the Racist person, it seems you encourage racism and allow racism outside your pub even if its outside while your customer was holding a drink.

Also a messgae to the manager reading this: You don't know the full story, your understanding of the situation, please don't get to conclusion and just report it to make your google reviews good.

You also need do your part to stop racism, you probably have served the crazy racist customer again, do not allow racist people...
