This place could have been great, but the lack of service and basic customer care was shocking—especially considering the number of staff wondering around in silence. The one who did speak seriously need to learn some manners and proper customer service skills.

From the start, the experience was frustrating due to staff members who seemed completely disengaged. When an issue arose with the order, instead of handling it professionally, the woman who dealt with the complaint chose to be dismissive and rude. Rather than listening to what was being said, she rolled her eyes, refused to acknowledge the actual problem, and then twisted the situation to make it seem like customers were attacking her—when in reality, no one raised their voice, no one was aggressive, and no one ‘piled on’ her. We were simply trying to clarify a mistake that she refused to acknowledge.

Mistakes happen, but the way they’re handled makes all the difference. What’s worse is that incorrect orders aren’t just an inconvenience—they can be dangerous. Some people have allergies or dietary restrictions, and getting an order wrong can have serious consequences. Instead of recognising that, the woman took a defensive stance and acted as if she was the victim.

Comping an order doesn’t fix bad service, especially when the attitude remains the same. A little professionalism, accountability, and basic respect for customers would go a long way.

Until that happens, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for...

A nice location with a great selection of beers and wines.

I must admit I do enjoy my visits here. At first the beer selection can be daunting, but it's worth putting some effort into trying to find something you really like.

Some people complain that the drinks can be expensive, but I'm a notorious skinflint, and would say that for what you are getting the prices are reasonable. And as long as you stay away from the rare brews.

One suggestion I would have, is it would be nice to have a printed drinks menu, that you could peruse at your leisure. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful with regards to choosing your refreshment, but can be pressured for time when it's busy.

The food is also excellent, both to order with your drinks, and the catering for events. It's more snack based, but goes very well with with the beers and wines they serve.

My top tip: If you're new to continental bottled beers, and a bit intimidated. A Lambic is a good...

Well, where do I start. It’s great here. Great but… Just a few negatives. Or development points

Only 1 free pint. Pitiful. my drinking partner made me hurry my drink. I’ll drink when I’m ready. not enough staff smelled of disinfectant the noise was too ambient it wasn’t overpriced enough the mistletoe was too high too many urinal cakes the lady with grey beard behind the bar had a ‘ghost of Christmas past’ vibe

Other than that a really pleasant experience. The right amount of gas and stemmed beer glasses too. 6 out...

Fantastic bar and bottle shop, with wide range of craft beers and wines to buy, drink in or takeaway. Has wine dispensing machines for impromptu wine tastings. Bar serves keg beers, spirits and wines. Cheese and charcuterie boards available to accompany your drink. Huge space with several distinct seating areas.

Popped in after my sister had been raving about it and we were not disappointed! Right opposite the train station, so it's easy to get to. Definitely worth the train ride out if you fancy a bit of change. It gets very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Such a beautiful building and the food was AMAZING....

Found this place, rather than a Pub, lovely comfy seats in the busy bar. Great selection of Beers, Prosecco was lovely. We didn't eat, but the menu looked great, especially the Pizzas. I was told they are all homemade. Really a super place.
