Kashmir fast food — Restaurant in High Peak

They closed down for a few weeks and now they open. I have to say it's well done guys. It does look nicer, cooler, fresher... Proper face-lifting and now they do not look like any other take away in town. Also on first two days after opening they had promotion where you could get any burger for 6£ with free milkshake and next day it was 12inch pizza with milkshake.

I had peri chicken and I have to say it was well prepared. Meat was well cooked with enough spice on it. I would say its somewhat between Biryani and Tikka masala when it comes to spiciness. Salad was well prepared and sauce Wass well chosen as it add that's extra flavour and spiciness. 5/5

Chips. Well here I have to say they are starting to take over my fav fish & chips in town, Crispy Cod. They IMHO have best chips I ever had. Up until I had those from Kashmir. I don't know how they cooked it (cooking oil obviously 🤦) but thier texture and crispness are well balanced and are great addiction to any burger.

That leaves us with milkshake. And I have to say and never had milkshake from them. Or for that matter didn't have any in last 10-15 years? 🤔Didn't know what to expect and was well surprised. As a desert it's lovely. Sweet, cold, well shaked and mixed. If I was 5 years old this would be my favourite dish ever. 😁

Price wise? Well before changes they had 1/4 and 1/2 pound burgers. Whereas 1/2 where around 6 quid. I can only assume that now they going to make just big portions and charge accordingly. I might be mistaken so please check by you self as this is review after reopening. I will update it regarding price soon.

For best korma and milkshakes this is the place to go. My sister's are in love with those milkshakes. Every Friday afternoon I know it's Oreo milkshake time.

Korma it self ? Simply the best. It's light curry and it's as it should be. Light. Great balance between apiece and coconut. Add into it well cooked meat ( my all time fav is lamb and king prawns ) and you've got yourself one of the best korma ever.

And I like young enthusiastic staff there. Always happy and with smile. Always ready for jokes and laugh.

Really really great takeaway. Their naan kebabs always come fully loaded to the brim, half is dinner one night and the other is lunch for the next day. They should pride themselves over how large they make them. Their other food items are great too, portion sizes for what you pay is good & it’s always made fresh in front of you. The shop itself is very clean & modern and every time I go everyone in the kitchen is working hard, they’re a very friendly, hardworking group of lads and whoever is at the front always gives you a cheeky ‘see you tomorrow, yea?’ as you walk out. You know when the doner gets to the very centre and all you’re left with are the small bits that that get cut off that are quite dry and crumbly? Well that’s what was sent to me. Absolutely horrible and hardly any of it. Tiny amount of scraps. Would absolutely love my money back such a waste.

When it gets to that part they should warn you that it’s not going to be as good or discount it!

Cheesy chips also an absolute joke. Hardly any chips sent in a box with unmelted flavourless cheese.

Absolutely will not order...
