The Pizza Place — Restaurant in High Peak

I used to like the pizza's from here because they were wafer thin proper Italian style and use proper ingredients such as mozzarella cheese and not the 80/20 mix cheaper cheese used by most pizza shops. That was the good part however, the last 2 times I went were a disaster and I've not returned since ordering food and receiving confirmation by text that it would be delivered at 8pm and them turning up at 7.15pm whilst I was in the bathroom and didn't hear the knock. They subsequently re-delivered the pizzas at the previously stated time and they were stone cold, dried and inedible as they had not made them an hour previously.

It wasn't the first time I received cold pizza's from but it was the last time!

Overall, the pizza's are good when hot so based on my experience, I would recommend collection if you fancy a decent Italian...

I tried this pizza place for the first time for a Saturday evening takeaway yesterday and, in a nutshell, was absolutely blown away with the quality of the food. It was gorgeous. Double pepperoni and double cheese pizza with sides of chicken strips and potato wedges were cooked to perfection. Easily the nicest takeaway food I've had for a very long time. Just ordered from here tonight and honestly it is the best pizza in this area.

The pizza was authentic and delicious without the right balance of toppings so as to not make it too gratuitous, the sides were to the same standard and all the food arrived piping hot.

I think we had low expectations as most local restaurants feature different photos on Just Eat to what they actually serve but this place was true to its image and provided a truly brilliant pizza. Our new regular...
