Visited this coffee shop last week for a stop to feed my baby while out with my dad, the coffee was amazing, I had my usual go to caramel latte and it didn’t disappoint! There is enough space for a pushchair albeit some restrictions on where to sit due to structure of the building/layout and furniture but this is fairly standard with most places. I wanted to give 5* but the baby change was a bit of a let down, asked a member of staff if the baby change was in the disabled and they confirmed it was and that there was a mat in there. Nice little touch with a basket of nappies and wipes first place I’ve seen this! But, it was a travel mat to change the baby and a wall/shelf to do it on, this wasn’t comfortable at all having to squat to change the baby as I wouldn’t want to kneel on a public toilet floor let alone change my baby on it regardless of them being on a mat as they roll! Also some people seem to think they don’t need to flush after themselves to changing a baby squatting next to a toilet with unflushed wee in it wasn’t the most pleasant of baby changes and then trying to get back up as knees and back just doesn’t like to work anymore haha! I’d love to come back for another coffee but won’t be anytime soon unfortunately with the...
Read moreUnderstated.... More like underfilled! I got my cappuchino in a small cup and it was already half full. It was really tasty but overpriced and the service I found to be really awkward.
Can't really comment on the food as there was only cakes but the seating upstairs was also very basic and really hard to see table numbers.
I was excited to try this out but left feeling very disappointed.
The coffee itself was ok - not better or worse than a Costa or Starbucks but not on a par with other speciality coffee shops.
I ordered a bagel and it was a bit rubbish. Not much taste and the most basic preparation. At £7.50 I felt violated. My partner had pancakes and left most of them for a similar reason.
The staff all looked miserable and the service very functional.
The interior was good, I like the stripped back exposed wall and ceiling look and they've done that well.
They really need some type of background music because the atmosphere was very flat. Coupled with the lack of energy from the staff it made the place feel lethargic.
My partner felt the same, we had both been looking forward to our visit and left very disappointed.
Maybe I was expecting a bit much for Hinckley but at the prices being charged I think it should be better and unfortunately can't offer a...
