When this place first opened it was amazing. Then year by year it started to slide. They used to do this wonderful sausage starter... Several sausages baked in a small dish dripping in a sweet honey glaze... Woah... Fast forward a year or 2 later that same dish was now completely different, it came out cold (worryingly cold inside the sausage as I bit into it... Suggesting it was now being reheated in some weird way so I had to send it back) and the sausages were now smaller and gristly- the once sweet glaze had a more sour taste. That's just one example. The lager glasses would come out of a freezer to give them a frosting so most people hadn't noticed just how dirty they were... There was bits of muck from the glass washer and lipstick on the on the rims. Why are the staff preparing the drinks not seeing it? Anyhow another year has gone by so I thought I'd give it one more chance... I ordered a chicken Caesar salad: the chicken was dry as if it had been reheated, the poached egg had been done nicely, the salad leaves were average but to top it off there was a somewhat dark and somewhat curly hair in it. Perhaps one of the kitchen staff had to scratch... Anyhow game over for Bills. Such a shame as it was once fantastic. Edit: oh and I forgot to mention my friend had a lamb shank... They didn't have mint sauce... Seems like something worth keeping a jar of if you're serving lamb...

Pretty restaurant in the center of town with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a nice spot for all seasons. The menu is broad, offering a mix of cuisines - from curries and shawarma to bowls and burgers. The food was a bit hit and miss. The chicken shawarma was underwhelming, with dry meat and a lackluster side salad. In contrast, the burger was tasty - juicy, well-seasoned, and paired with fries fried to perfection. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was disappointing; it lacked the gooey, sticky richness you'd expect and felt more like a plain cake. The triple brownie, however, was divine - rich, fudgy, and bursting with chocolate flavor. Served warm with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect indulgence. Service was very friendly, but a bit slow at times. We had to ask multiple times for certain drinks. Overall, a lovely dining spot in Horsham - especially if you know which dishes to go for.

We pit-stopped at Bill’s Horsham for lunch. Though imbued with Bill’s characteristic interiors and charm, it lacked the refinishing finesse found in say, its Brighton, Lewes or Tunbridge Wells outlets. As it was a warm sunny day, we opted to dine alfresco instead. The Fish Pie, Hippy Bowl and Calamari were delightful. The calamari: light and crispy. Though the salad accompanying the Mac & Cheese seemed wilted and somewhat uninspiring, the creamy Mac & Cheese itself, went down nicely. The immunity smoothie was a refreshing and well-balanced blend — even without my partiality for ginger! As it was a sunny day, the alfresco area was busy. Honor (our server), was constantly on the move ensuring everyone was looked after. Yet, we never had to catch her eye as she checked on us regularly. Lovely day. Lovely service.

Best restaurant in Horsham? My wife and I popped into Bill's for a late lunch. We have heard about the place over the years and decided to finally give it a try. We have been to other places in Horsham and the experience was always good. Bill's is an exception. The most polite way to describe the food and drinks we have been served is underwhelming. My wife's vegetarian shawarma had as much to do with shawarma as a damp petrol station sandwich. Salad was on a verge of being bitter and had no trace of any dressing or seasoning. Halloumi had been drowned in a baffling mixture of uncooked BBQ souce and some kind of curry spice. There is no way to accurately describe the taste. Next to all that layed a pita, probably from the nearby Sainsbury. I have order a medium rare tuna steak with crushed new potatoes, halkidiki olives, chargrilled red peppers & capers. What I got was tuna stake that looked like it came out of a microwave. There was no sign of it being fried in a pan or grill. No seasoning, no flavour. It was tiny. Crushed new potatoes had been replaced with large slices of uncooked salad potatoes. I could not push my fork into them. They crunched in my mouth and some were simply raw. No seasoning. Olives looked like they came from one of those jars of olives everyone has at the back of their fridge. Tasteless mush. Capers have been there. Even more tasteless and mushy. It must be cook's special skill to make capers taste like nothing. Peppers were the only thing on the plate with any taste. They tasted like pepper paste you can get in a jar. Yum, yum. Drinks were 50/50. My Sour Rhubarb Crumble had some freeze dried rhubarb sprinkled on the ice. That kept it nice, dry and innert. By design, no doubt. I'm sure there was some rum and ginger in there. My pellet is probably not sophisticated enough to detect them. My wife's Raspberry & Pomegranate Lemonade had two raspberries in it. Both were frozen. Well done, Sainsbury frozen section. Drinking was fizzy, sour and refreshingly different.

Staff were great and deserved their service charge. I'm sorry for them.

I recommend Bill's Horsham Restaurant for those who seek something different and challenging in their culinary journeys. Just don't go there for a decent...

Went to Bills today for a treat breakfast as I’ve always loved it and could never fault it however today was a different story. I’m unsure if they were short staffed or just oblivious but our food took 30+ minutes to come and when it did arrive I was greatly disappointed. I ordered eggs florentine and unfortunately the spinach had made the bread COMPLETELY soggy, it was completely wet. One piece was fine and I ate that however the other was vile it made me feel sick I couldn’t finish it. I also have to say I’m convinced the avocado was previously frozen it didn’t taste fresh or nice at all. We were then completely ignored after our food was finished for 30 entire minutes waiting to talk to staff to explain I was a bit upset about my meal. Our plates were left stacked (by ourselves) on our table for 15 minutes, over 6+ different members of staff saw that, saw we were waiting and trying to get attention and we were ignored. My partner finally grabbed someone (we could see they were busy and have worked in hospitality so we understand) and I explained I was disappointed and couldn’t eat it as it made me feel sick how soggy my food was. The waitress took my food to the kitchen to see what they would say. Not one single person then came back to us, I could see her talking to other members of staff about what I had said but never once came and apologised or explained anything to me. 5-10 minutes later a different waitress asked if it was us who wanted the bill to which we said yes, confused as no one had come to speak with us regarding my complaint. I’m about to pay when I said I did complain about my food etc I haven’t heard anything about It but I could only eat half etc to which she responded nicely but said there’s nothing they can do about it as the kitchen ‘couldn’t see it’ there was soggy wet bread left on my plate? Can’t understand why not a single member of staff spoke to me or why the kitchen staff didn’t come speak to me and ask what was wrong and I could have clearly shown them the completely liquid bread? Very very disappointed and unfortunately will not...

There was a small queue of people waiting to be seated by a very polite and friendly man, however another customer pushed in and was seated before us, which I found rude. We were seated upstairs, where it was quite noisy, but as it was busy this is to be expected. We ordered drinks and brunch, and drinks were brought over, my matcha latte was okay, but not the best I’ve ever had, my daughter enjoyed her orange juice and my mum and partner enjoyed their cappuccinos. We waited 45 minutes and no food had arrived, I found a member of staff and said that we had been waiting 45 minutes and was told “there’s a delay”, I was polite but said that we hadn’t been told that. After another 5 minutes another member of staff asked if everything was ok, and I said that it was unacceptable that we had been waiting now 50 minutes for 4 plates of food. She didn’t apologise or smile once, she walked off saying she’d find out food. It did arrive 5 mins later, and the staff member who brought it was very apologetic and friendly (sorry, didn’t get their name, but they had an American accent, black hair and eyeliner). The food was tepid. Flavours were lovely, but hard to enjoy when served on a cold plate. The poached eggs were spot on though. The service charge was removed from our bill, which I was satisfied with, we have been to Bills previously and the experience was very different, so I would like to return and hope for a better experience. Maybe because it was a busy bank holiday Monday? Maybe short staffed in the kitchen? Who knows, but sadly today wasn’t the...
