Food was great. Unfortunately the staff don't seem to understand the needs of disabled customers! Ringing the bell that's supposed to summon help to the very heavy door didn't work. Thankfully another customer helped. The "delightful " lady at the desk clearly didn't actually like customers. I am in a wheelchair and it's quite difficult to see any menu and so I asked what the lovely looking drink was on the screen behind the counter. Shouting at me as if I was hard of hearing was bad enough but all she screeched was the word tea! Over and over. I asked if it were blueberry? Tea!! Was shouted again. Could I get that I asked, again for no apparent reason she shouted tea. She was very abrupt and I had to keep calling her back as she was doing something in the fridge while I was trying to give my order. It was incredibly embarrassing and stressful. The food was OK...but the iced drink had barely any ice and my coffee was the wrong size. I struggled to get my order as it was too far back on the counter and she had walked off so again someone else helped me. I totally understand some people are uncomfortable with disability but being outright rude is not acceptable. More training...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this Costa on Wednesday 27th September about 4pm! The actual store was closed, only the drive thru open, due to staff shortages. I had my autistic daughter with me & I was trying to coax her out of the car (she has problems transitioning) A lovely staff member (didnāt get her name, unfortunately) came out to greet us & explained the shop wasnāt open only the drive thru. I explained that we were trying to get my daughter to leave the car & engage with the shop. That lovely staff member took our order & bought our drinks & food out to the forecourt š Eventually my daughter got out of the car & had her smoothie on the forecourt š Went to the drive thru to pay, to be told our order was on the house! Amazing!!! Wanted everyone to know what amazing service we received! A challenging situation made easy by fantastic customer service. That young lady made a huge difference to our afternoon out. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWalked down from the hotel I was staying in and noticed when driving past that they were freshly brewing all day between 7am and 7pm. The sign on the door though says different and closes at 5pm but you can use the drive through which is a bit difficult as I had no car (Freshly brewing if your in a car then). Door was open though and the staff member was stocking up with food, which interestingly was what I wanted but no wouldnt serve me and told me though that the drive through was open (where they are obviously selling this freshly brewed coffee), but again thanks but I was walking. I was going to walk through the drive through but the high tech board doesn't show what sandwiches or salads they had only the expensive array of drinks and cakes.
