Mamma Mia Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Horsham

Amazing family run Italian restaurant!!

My boyfriend and I happened to stumble across this restaurant this evening and we were extremely impressed- from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food it was 5* all the way through.

We were both made very comfortable upon arrival and noticed that our lovely waiter made extra effort to make note of our names and to make sure we were all okay throughout our meal, something I have not received at a bigger restaurant chain. It really did feel like we were treated like we were members of this family!

As for the service, it was very quick and the presentation of the food at mamma Mia’s is PHENOMENAL! I had a beautiful sea food risotto which I will whole heartedly say was the BEST risotto I’ve ever had. From the flavourful sauce to the fresh mussels it was perfect! My boyfriend also enjoyed his chicken pizza and commented that he has never experienced a pizza like the one at mamma Mia’s. I had the panna cotta for dessert and the food just keeps on getting better, it was so creamy and the sauce tasted amazing!

I highly recommend mamma mia’s if you want an authentic, cozy and welcoming Italian restaurant. We will definitely be returning and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!!

We discovered this lovable restauraunt while walking the South Downs way. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much that we have since been back several times despite it taking us over an hour to get there from Southampton! We see it as an adventure for special occasions. Tonight we took our sister and her husband for the first time and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed starters of white bait, baked mozarella and garlic bread. For our mains we stuck with the classics; carbonara, lasagna and mushroom risotto. And for dessert we all enjoyed the chocolate soufflé on the specials board! My husband enjoyed the draft beer on tap while our brother enjoyed a merlot with his meal. Everyone enjoyed a limonchello after except me as I am a tee total and designated driver! Came here as a party of 3. Lovely small cosy place,love the style. We shared some Starters and then a pizza and pasta, including options of the special board. Everything was DELICIOUS. The Mussels we had were the best, juiciest Mussels ive ever had! The special pasta was also out of this world. You could tell everything was homemade with high quality ingredients. Good drinks selection too. Everything was very reasonable priced. One of the best parts of the night was the owner/manager. He had a great energy about him and we had a lovely chat at the end of the night. It was the perfect end to a great evening and we can't wait...
