Under new management, who could not be more opposite than the previous inhospitable landlady. The new proprietors are friendly and so helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is full of the sort of food one hopes to find and it all is cooked superbly. We each had a different selection from the menu, scampi, steak beer battered cod and liver and bacon. We each enjoyed our meals, my mother-in-law was delighted her cod and chips was a quality one finds in a good fish and chip shop and my father-in-law enjoyed one of his favourite and not often found bitters. Read moreMet friends at the star Inn, and none of us had been there before. The lady in charge was very helpful and pleasant. Out of our party of four, three of us had the ribeye. All the steaks were cooked to our perfection, and we all agreed they were the best steaks we had had in years. All food was reasonably priced. Large carpark and kids play area. We sat inside, but you can sit outside in a pleasant seating area beside a stream. Although not from the area, next time we are passing we would certainly choose this venue for our lunch.
