Caffè Nero — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

My daughter placed an order from Caffe Nero (Huntingdon) through Just Eat today. The first she knew something was wrong with the order was when a very angry delivery driver rang her saying they'd had a wasted trip and had been waiting around for 10 mins to be told by the Nero staff that the order didn't exist. My daughter checked her order which had been accepted and charged for (she confirmed this to the driver). He then passed his phone to a staff member who was very blunt and unhelpful, denied receiving the order from Just Eat and hung up without giving my daughter the chance to query it further. A couple of minutes after this my daughter received a text from Just Eat saying that the restaurant (Caffe Nero Huntingdon) had just cancelled the order - leading us to believe that they did have the order in the first place, if they could eventually cancel it!!! We have placed a lot of business with Caffe Nero Huntingdon in the past but sadly this has completely put us off ever using them again - we will be avoiding in future! The abrupt and rude manner with which my daughter was spoken to by the Caffe Nero staff member was completely unnecessary especially as we had no control over what had happened!! I shall also be leaving a negative review with Just Eat (we are sorry that the delivery driver had a wasted journey and understand why he was upset, although he too should not have taken his frustration out on...

Visited at 5pm today. When paying for the coffees we were informed that we had till 5.30pm to consume them as she would be closing the shop. We sat outside. On every occasion the same assistant came outside she would remind us aggressively and sharply that she would be asking us to leave in 5 minutes which would have been 5.25pm as she had to clean before she left at 5.30pm. The female I was with reminded her that we had till 5.30pm to finish our drinks. From then on she would bang the seats with the tables and bang crockery together when clearing table, and verbally moan to her colleague about us in an attempt to intimidate us into leaving. When we couldn't put up with it any more we attempted to inform her that we would review and complain at the atrocious attitude she had, she responded with rudeness and aggressive comments. She stated that she was leaving the following day so reviewing wouldn't affect her. We were on a first date and her attitude and behaviour left us both with a sour memory of our visit. Her colleague was obviously appalled by her behaviour too as she was rolling her eyes at us as we left....

Absolutely awful. Avoid at all costs. Despite accepting our order, they delivered an entirely incorrect order, together with a note saying they had been unable to fulfil it so had substituted items. The items were entirely unrelated to what we had ordered, however e.g. 3 bacon ciabattas had been substituted with 3 sausage rolls (pastry). When calling them, they were very unhelpful and said they were too busy with customers to call people if they weren’t able to fulfil orders, and would always substitute things with other things similar in price - even if they weren’t similar?! They completely overlooked the fact that we were customers as well, even if we were having it delivered to us and not going into the cafe, and in fact had spent over £30 on the order.
