Ivo Lounge — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

We ordered a large and regular breakfast with a kids pancakes and fruit compote and banana, was all very nice even though I would have preferred the kids compote to be in a pot on the side as I have a fussy toddler but none the less it was all good and I know that’s a personal preference. On a side note after seeing someone else’s review We was literally sitting behind Zeno Ambrose and heard her complaint, she never once stated to staff that peppers made her “sick” they swiftly tried to rectify her issues and remade her whole dish, once this was brought out she then proceeded to say she wasn’t satisfied unless she got a discount to then rudely push her food around her plate and ask for a refund when a discount wasn’t offered!! Personally I wouldn’t take her review as honest and the whole situation was quite embarrasing, I feel sorry for her friend as she was red as a beetroot!! The lady on the front welcoming people in was polite and accommodating, however the male manager was rude and ignorant. I had been waiting in the que for 10-15 mins waiting to get a receipt for a refund, he walked passed me several times while I was patiently waiting and he didn’t acknowledge me or offer to assist. After this time he approached me and told me the que was at the other end of the bar which it was not, as I was second in the que and had been waiting for the couple in front to pay. I said to him I was waiting to get a receipt as I responded to him he walked off behind the bar, looked at me and then didn’t proceed to help. Rudeness at its finest and the staff did not have uniform which made it difficulty to identify between customers and waiters/waitresses, they were not dressed smart and didn’t not look well presented. Food is very hit and miss. If you find something you like then you should probably stick to that every time. Fast food options are generally good, the more elaborate plates are somewhat lacking. Portion size is not consistent along the different options, some plates are okay, some are too small. The price is high considering the quality of the food is not up to par with it. Atmosphere and service are great, I like the style they go for with the collage of things on the walls and decoration. Staff is always friendly so they always get a tip. The place is also dog friendly which is a plus. Leaving a 3 star review because to me the most important part is the food, and that's where the place lacks in the most.
