Called in as was close by. Firstly met by polite, friendly staff who welcomed us with our little dog. We were shown the choices of menu and options. My wife had the 3 course ÂŁ20 lunch option. For starters it was tempura coated vegetables with a katsu dip that was superb. It said it was a small plate but it certainly wasn't! The atmosphere was lovely and the furnishings comfortable. The new decor makes for pleasant surroundings too. We hadnât planned to eat in there but having seen food arrive at the next table we were enticed to order the satay chicken wings and Parmesan and truffle chips. Both were superb. The pub was busy but the food came out in a timely manner and was hot. You wonât get a cheap snack here but if the food we had last night is anything to go by then it is certainly worth the price. Staff were friendly...
