Pizza Town St Ives — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Ordered online and turned up a little early. Email notifications said pizzas were ready to pick up 22 minutes after I ordered which seemed good! Waited.......waited.....asked ten minutes after that and response was "they're in the oven now". Ok......seems a little misleading. Maybe they're really busy? I mean one of the "chefs" was scoffing their face with pizza and no masks were being worn in the kitchen with 4+ people less than 2 metres apart (review done June 2021) so how it can't be much longer right?

Got pizzas 40 minutes after ordering, having to ask after them 3 times. Personally I felt forgotten about.

So the service and response to being potentially forgotten about made me make this bad review as I wouldn't have mind being told it would take 40 minutes. Not "your pizza is ready for collection (actually it's not cooked yet)” which felt worse.

Real shame as the pizza was very good. 🤷

Since posting the review, the owner took the time to call and have a constructive conversation about what was said. I was surprised but I think it goes to show that he wanted to appologise and improve their service. I see this as a positive thing and I am grateful that he took the time to try and rectify any negative experience I may have recieved. A good will gesture was offered and I will hopefully take them up on it as I will say again, the pizza was really very good! Thank...

Oct 24 update:. Tried here again but again Very Disappointing pizza. Very expensive, and small. Cold and box all open and bent on delivery. Very expensive for what it is. I wouldn't bother . Won't be back

This place has been here a very long time. It has had its ups and downs. I've had some very very nice pizzas from here in the past and some horrible ones. The people who run it are quite nice if you are buying alot of them then they are very friendly. They have also Been quite rude aswell, for example sometimes they have been late and they tell you promises like "your next order we will give you a free pizza" it has never happened... My recent order review : The delivery was fast enough and pizza tasted nice enough, they forgot to put cheese on our chips as asked and charged us for it. The pizzas seemed to have got smaller and prices gone up. It seems they are going down hill a bit..Overall An okay pizza which is better than places like dominos but it seems they are way to inconsistent. You don't know what you will get..Could it be nice or could it be...

We have very regularly enjoyed Pizza Town Pizza's rating them well above every other Pizza company in St Ives. However, we understand that management has changed. Our last order was incorrect, late and not up to the usual standard. Jalapeño chillies were totally heatless, the deep pan was in no way deep pan, the size of the medium was less than we have been used too, cans of drink, which we confirmed at the time of order, did not arrive and now they have cancelled potato wedges.

It did taste ok, but just not the excellence we have experienced for so long. Very disappointed, we have given our loyalty to the brand for so long, we feel let down and doubt we will...
