This wonderful little cafe located in Saint Neots is not to be missed! From the moment you walk in the friendly staff were quick to warmly greet me and offer me a table. They are open seven days a week between 08:00-17:00 and also offer local home delivery.
The menu is extensive from breakfasts, sandwiches, rolls, panini and toasties to burgers, grills and home made dishes there is alot to choose from not forgetting desserts such as Cheesecake and a selection of cakes.
I was here for one reason only and that was to check out the traditional Pie, Mash & Liquor. The food was prepared quickly and I am pleased to say authentic as the owner works in partnership with Maureen's Cafe in London which is a traditional P&M shop. Orders are delivered frequently from London which is great as there are so many Londoners living in the area who can't easily reach London for a liquor fix. They even had the chilli vinegar on hand to complete the experience. Total cost was £8.00 including a drink for double pie & double mash with lashings of liquor.
Overall I left satisfied and it is evident throughout why this establishment has a 5 star Hygeine rating. The venue can be accessed by local transport. If you are driving, Tebbuts Road Car Park PE19 1BS is less than 5 mins walk from the cafe at £0.80p for 1 hour which is plenty of time. A new favourite for me I will be back again soon. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff for an exemplary and authentic...
Read moreTina Turner would eat here as it’s Simply the Best. Generous portions, freshly cooked, tasty and cheap. Although there are plenty of breakfast options, they are always happy to swap items (eg Hash Browns instead of Tomatoes in the Brunch Breakfast - my ‘go to’).
The set breakfasts in particular are ridiculously cheap as they include Tea/Coffee and toast, but there are plenty of lunch options for under a tenner.
Omelettes are good, so too the various grills, and the Gammon comes with Egg AND Pineapple. Drinks are cheap too, and the tea comes with the teabag still in the mug so you can brew to your own taste. I like ‘Builders Brew’ but most places bring you anemic cats piss made with ‘economy’ or ‘one-cup’ tea bags as standard.
The side salads are amazing - usually coleslaw, and around half a dozen other items; tomato, sweet corn, carrot, red cabbage etc. and take up at least quarter of the plate. Nothing like the token dollop with a few leaves most places give you.
Service is usually brisk, and food arrives quickly, which is amazing considering how busy they usually are. Regulars are treated like old friends, (and there’s a LOT of them), and newbies like friends to be.
The only things I can’t comment on are the desserts and cakes, as I never have...
Read moreAh, Moore's Walk Cafe in St. Neots—what a gem! So, picture this: I’m cycling through the beautiful countryside, 30 miles under my belt, and my stomach growling like a bear. I stumble upon this quaint little spot and decide to give it a try. I walk in and order a half-pounder with chips, half-expecting to need a second round to fill me up. But to my surprise, the portion was spot on—just what a physically active person like me needs.
The staff? Absolutely delightful. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. They greet each customer with a warmth that makes you feel instantly welcome. My meal arrived in a flash—just 5 to 7 minutes after I ordered. And let me tell you, it was fantastic. The burger, made of two quarter-pound patties, was cooked to perfection. Juicy, flavorful, and utterly satisfying.
I wholeheartedly recommend Moore's Walk Cafe to anyone passing through St. Neots. Whether you’re a local or just an explorer like me, you won't be...
