Bonnygoo Bar & Burger Lounge — Restaurant in Isle of Wight

Burgers are not a normal party of my diet (I've been watching my weight for decades!) but the menu in the window drew us in and I'm so glad that I did. Run by a lovely couple, it's a very inviting, comfortable place to hang out and the burgers are amazing! It was very had to choose but I had a double bacon burger and my husband had the cajun chicken burger (we shared)... Both perfect. You have a choice of sauces... and there are so many choices! You can have a brioche bun or sesame seed bun and both were delicious... So another tough choice. And, as I am a lover of slaw, I can tell you this homemade, creamy coleslaw is one of the best I've ever tasted. We were lucky enough to enjoy live music whist dining, as Steve & Jenny are two of the very few supporters of local live music in Shanklin. So we had another glass of wine and stayed a little longer to enjoy the music, their wonderful company and then started our weekend on the Isle of Wight with a big smile on our faces and very full stomachs. I highly recommend...

We have just moved to Shanklin and had met the owners one Sunday afternoon at a different event. We promised we would visit and we did. On Saturday, we visited with 2 children and a dog in tow and they kindly seated us without any hesitation. We all ordered drinks and food. The burgers were amazing! We all had different ones and not one complaint over the food. Our 12 year old demolished his adult burger meal before the rest of us! The fries and coleslaw was lovely too. Most of us was to full for dessert, however our 12 year old was ready for one, the sundae that came out was massive and believe me, it also got demolished, so I can only assume there was nothing wrong with that! We also got the fun night of live music, which was lovely. Yes the venue is small, but the food, service and music was incredible. We will be back and on a regular basis! my partner & i absolutely adore bonnygoo, we just could not recommend it enough ♡ finding vegan options anywhere is hard enough as it is, let alone affordable, actually tasty & decent sized portions .. but bonnygoo have it all !! a great vegan + veggie menu with a variety of yummy options and the most affordable prices that we've ever seen on the island ! (seriously, a huge plate for only £12 - £14 omg !!!!) all meals are a very generous size with quick table service, completely customizable fillings, wine, soft drink options, beer on tap (and bottled), with a lovely welcoming atmosphere & beachy decor. we seriously cannot recommend visiting enough, whether it's for family dinners, bingo, karaoke, or just to grab a pint - jennie & steve will make sure you're comfortable and have a wonderful time. our favorite...
