Absolutely devastated
Went in after my lovely experience previously due craving their amazing spaghetti carbonara. I opted for a gluten free version due to having restrictions from a gastric band not for allergies as I explained to the lady waitress whom may I add is a credit to your company.
Everything was perfect at the beginning the starters was spectacular but the problem came when the mains come.
I tried explaining to the grey haired waiter that I cannot eat penne pasta and that I can only eat the spaghetti type pasta as I chose this as a it's advertised as spaghetti but before being able to explain about the gastric band and how it effects me.
He swiped up the food and stormed off leaving me extremely distressed (may I add whilst pregnant) and extremely emotional to the extent that my anxiety had gone through the roof requiring me to attend the rest room due to the embarrassment I had just experienced.
This experience caused me to shake and cry uncontrollably due to my anxiety flaring from your waiter and the people in the kitchen staring at me like they was making a mockery out of me.
Your waiter had blatantly made a remark about me when returning and probably assumed that I'm just one of them moaning people and that's his own fault due to failing to listen to what the problem with the dish was. It was a simple accident.
The waiter then continued to give my boyfriend a mucky looks everytime he passed blatantly being rude who was sat there upset because he wanted a nice meal and probably felt embarrassed that I had got overwhelmed by it all and asked him what he's looking at him like that for. The lady waitress then returned who spoke to her manager whom then sent him in the back.
It was extremely kind of you to give the meal free on the house for the inconvenience but i would of happily paid for what I had already eaten as it was really nice.
But unfortunately due to this embarrassment. I won't be returning nor will I be arranging the ambulance Christmas party at your restaurant as planned as we strive for care and compassion and none was given by your...
Read moreVisited on the 15th January, asked to wait at the bar for the rest of our group to arrive (12 in total) There was plenty of drought lagers on and a good selection of spirits, unfortunately I can't comment as I was doing dry January. 😞 The bar area was packed it was very uncomfortable given what's going on in the country and in my opinion needs to be larger. The decor was far from a standard Italian restaurant it felt more like a Harvester pub, the background noise from the packed restaurant made it very difficult to have a conversation. Me and my partner visited the toilets, both the ladies and gents left alot to be desired unclean was an understatement.
We were shown to our table around 30 minutes after arriving, 5 small tables pushed together to accommodate our party. There wasn't enough room for us, maybe needed an extra table in my opinion. After another lengthy wait our orders were taken by a very abrupt waiter, there was no interaction. What do you want! we're his only words. Admittedly they looked short staffed, this could of been due to Covid, but suspect it was the norm.
The starter eventually arrived only they had forgot mine, a different waiter brought it over after we had asked if there was a problem. This waiter was very apologetic and he was a credit to the restaurant. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. The starters were average at best and after yet another long wait the table was cleared and mains delivered. I say delivered because they were just thrown on the table (the same rude waiter as before) again mains we're averge at best.
All in all the whole party didn't enjoy the experience at Zucchinis, me and my partner will not be returning. It wasn't what we expected, having heard good things about...
Read moreBit of a let down to be honest. Finally decided to try this place after passing it every Sunday for a year for my boys swimming lessons. Table booked for 730 Saturday. We got there for 725, nobody to greet us at the door. Do we wait here ? Do we seat ourselves ? Do we go to the bar? We went to the bar and told them we had a table booked for 730. ‘OK’ was the response. So we got a drink and sat down. It’s a very loud place , movies playing on tvs above the bar, no music playing. Not what you expect from an Italian restaurant in my opinion. Anyway, we were sat for another 10 mins wondering if anyone was aware that we were waiting. I told another member of staff that we had a reservation for 730( 740 now) he said ‘ I Know’ and walked off. So we waited another 10 mins then someone came over and seated us. I had steak medallions with a side of truffle fries which was nice. My wife had salmon and ordered a side of potatoes which can plain but were supposed to have rosemary and garlic on them. Just looked like frozen deep fried potatoes. Nobody checked on us during our meal to see if everything was ok. When someone came to clear the plates we mentioned the potatoes and she basically made a joke about the manager taking the wrong ones. Dessert My wife had the biscoff cheesecake , she said it was nice . I had the Crème Brûlée, wow, how much alcohol was in that , couldn’t taste anything but alcohol. Had 2 mouthfuls and left the rest. I had high expectations for this place but have been let down, it’s not somewhere that I feel we will visit again. Also above the hot plate is a metal strip, it’s absolutely covered in dust which has the potential to fall into someone’s food. This should be addressed...
