Ados — Restaurant in Lancaster

This place is very up and down. I usually order a Donner pizza 12 inch. Large chips. Tub of sauce. I have also tried the kebabs. The pizza. If you like a super thin base then these are quite nice. They never used to be this thin so wondering if they changed chefs. Nice but unfortunately they don't fill you enough being so thin. Enough Donner on them but not loads. If you order two portions of the same topping on it you are only getting one topping. Incidentally. The munch box meal deal is made with very little toppings and not the best quality burger. If you're going to do a special deal at least make it worth it. They charge less because you get less. Simple. Also if they have a 10% off deal or similar they give you the same percentage less of food. EVERY TIME The chips. Id hate to see the small portion because these are not large at all. They also seem to have been cooked and left for a while in their grease. They have a chewy coating on them. Probably thrown back in for a reheat last minute. They are never salted either. Last time I tried a kebab. I was dubious because it is cooked in tomato sauce. I was right to be. The tomato sauce they use is chopped toms from a tin. That's about it. The meat I got was grilled too far til it was burnt and then covered in sauce. It had a funny taste to it which I put down to the burnt black bits on the meat. The service has always been decent but I've never had to complain. I live across the river but it is usually on time. All in all I'd maybe recommend. Unfortunately this seems to be one of the better ones in Lancaster. The thing with the low quality munch box deals puts me off. When did people stop just selling quality and not JUST looking for ways to scam more money from people?...

Horrendous experience. To be honest it’s not the first time order has been late, but this time it was 4 hours late!

8:15pm ordered food online. Time given for delivery between 9:10 - 9:30 pm.

9:50pm - Got a notification on the app that the food was delivered. No food was delivered. Called the restaurant and was told that the food hasn’t been made yet. Couldn’t tell me how long food will be and then they cut the call with no explanation or apology.

10:30pm -11:10pm continuously called the restaurant with no answer. Finally managed to get through at 11:10pm. Told food is next to be made and will be delivered in 20 mins. No food arrived by 11:30pm. Continuously called the restaurant from 11:30pm -11:50pm no answer.

11:50pm - Managed to get through to restaurant to be told they have been really busy and that they are making the food now, almost done, and it will be delivered in 2mins! No apology given by the restaurant.

12:10am - food arrived! Driver was oblivious to the fact that food was 4hours late! No apology given.

In summary, very late delivery and the customer service...

Xmas Eve ruined. Cheers guys.

I ordered a pizza from Ado's on Lancaster and Morecambe Eats at 6pm-ish on Xmas Eve to arrive 7.45-8pm.

It arrived at 8.15 but the order was wrong. My wife is vegetarian and there was pepperoni on the whole pizza, not half as requested.

The landline number was "busy" every time I tried and the mobile number doesn't work so I had no choice but to drive down there. When there, I tried the landline number and it was engaged still, despite noone being on it: clearly a purposeful thing.

When I explained the situation, the new pizza was cooked correctly. When I requested a refund, I was told to email Morecambe Eats.

The point of ordering at 6 for 8 was so we could sit down as a family with my young girls to watch a film on Xmas eve.

Instead, I've ended up missing 45 minutes of the film and we're all eating an hour late. Really not ideal but the guy at Ado's didn't...
