“Me and my friend went there for a pint. We were having our own conversation walking in and some people at the bar were listening in. We start to order and them customers start telling the bar staff to refuse to serve us because ‘we were rude in our conversation’ and the bar staff just told us to get out because these customers said to. Recommend going somewhere else if you don’t want to be yelled at for walking through the front door- literally anywhere else in lancaster is nicer than here“

seems like that last review was a tad unfair it always has seemed clean to me, take it this way ive seen worse plenty of live music on various nights and the staff are friendly enough went in a few weeks ago on a sunday and it was rammed at lunch time prices seemed average nothing to expensive chilled out enviroment and great position for the rest of the town so id say a pretty damn normal english pub id look on some other reviews about the place, i have and they are very mixed, im a to reviewer and would go and test the place for myself with such a poor review as the last one seems over the top...

Usually a good place to have a few drinks when in Lancaster however this time was quite the exception….my friend suffers quite badly with eczema, something which, is fairly common in this day and age however, he was made to feel completely inadequate by the security staff here. They refused to let him in purely because his eyes were watery and they took this to mean he was too drunk…the laughable thing was that he was completely sober as well. Will not be returning as don’t think anyone should be unfairly...
