Indian is my favourite type of cousine so I do admit that I could be a bit biased. The three meals ordered were Chilli Masala, Murgh Josh and Chilli Fry. All the dishes contained a lot of exciting flavours. Chilli Masala was so good that I kept reaching for my friend's portion and kept trying it, I returned a week later to have a portion myself. The Murgh Josh perfects the taste of garlic which I personally cannot reproduce at home. Chilli Fry with garlic chicken tikka was the dish I ordered and I was blown away. The garlic naan had the right texture and was also amazing to dip in the large pot of Chilli Masala sauce. The dishes from Chef's Specials section were all around £13 including rice, which is perfectly reasonable as the serving is large enough for two people and the quality of the food definitely lives up to and easily exceeds the price. The friendly staff only complements the experience. I am sad that I haven't discovered this place earlier, but from now on it will be my usual Indian of choice.

The food is just okay, not that significantly delicious. As much experience in Indian fine dining, I cannot say your food is delicious as the taste is a little bit adopted for westerners' palate not so authentic. And with the same portion of food, comparing to other takeaway-indian restaurants, you gave us less than an aggregated standard of ingredients and spices which sometimes can considered as a good situation. And the way those telephone boys or receptionists talk on phone cannot be viewed as proper, as they shouted at customers (this is too far from a decent level)

Burned my face off with a madras here the other night. It’s my first proper curry in the UK for about five years, and I couldn’t have picked a better place to get back into it. The portions are decent and the prices are good. Beer is available. The staff are very friendly and accommodating too. Definitely recommended.

Nice interior, mediocre food, horrible service. When we entered, there were many empty tables but our waiter asked us to wait in the hall to check if there were any available. I was skeptical of the rest of my experience since this initial interaction. When ordering, my friends wanted to share a dish but the same waiter told us that that wasn't allowed and that it was only for the weekdays...?? He proceeded to take our sharing plates away, which makes no sense that they were on our table in the first place if sharing "wasn't allowed" on the weekends. He also rushed my friends to order and said "okay next" when they would start their sentence with "um". We asked to have separate cheques and he got annoyed and angry and presented himself in a way where he obviously wanted to let us know that. Our food came and it was good, but I've had better. My friends were less lucky though. One of them ordered a vegetarian dish but she received one with meat instead. Another ordered a masala, but it was not spicy at all and looked like tomato paste. In it was potato, which was still uncooked and too hard to cut through. The veggies were not tender and felt like they were thrown in at the last minute before serving. Aside from the food and the horrible service, I noticed he was being extra polite and smiley to other tables... I am not trying to accuse him of being racist, but the tables were coincidentally filled with white people. I was visiting from Canada and this made the first day of my trip unplesantly weird. Won't be coming...

If you like terrible service then go here by all means. I like to give all businesses a fair chance and don't expect perfection all the time but this place simply reeks of rudeness, dishonesty and any sort of customer care. I've had a few issues in the past but chalk them off as genuine mistakes or just a bit of bad luck but I've finally ripped up the menu and thrown it in the bin. Paid for our food online via their own website to be delivered in one hour and they called and said it would take two hours. No apology. They simply don't care. We've cancelled our order but they won't refund it immediately because they are too busy. We had an item missed off on our previous delivery and they blamed us! We have been overcharged when eating in and service has been very slow two out of the three times we've been there. When I collected our food last time I was short changed by the manager and I was certain it was deliberate. He's a bit of a character you need to keep an eye on. The attitude of the staff is very poor. I truly feel they hate their job.

Why have I used it more than once ??? Because the food was okay to be honest.. which is a real shame but other places will get our business from now on. I can't recommend Bombay Balti. You'll probably be...

I used to love going to this place with my friends from university about 3 years ago. I continued to live up here with my girlfriend and we've been a few times since. I think the management must have changed since 2012 as our last two experiences have been terrible.

We went to the actual restaurant back in October and the food was very average, the starters had water dripping off them and the poppadoms tasted like they hadn't been cooked properly. We ordered a rogan josh to share for our main and the chef had forgotten to put in any spices. It was completely spice free, not exactly what you want from a curry. When we asked the manager why there was no spice in the food he really insulted our intelligence by saying it was because "the chef had forgotten to add salt". There was no spice in the curry whatsoever because the chef had forgotten to add salt...OK then!

My girlfriend and I ordered a takeaway last night and thought we would give Bombay Balti another try. Bad idea, the food came and was exactly the same as last time only the chef added another ingredient to our mixed starter. There was a 3 inch long black hair embedded into our onion bhaji.

DON'T order from here, terrible food and...
