Food not bad, only let down by a panini which hadn’t been cooked properly. Other than that the food and drinks were good. Sadly the service was not so good! Admittedly we did arrive at its busiest time, but the staff seemed stressed and moaned constantly. We didn’t even get greeted with a hello and once we’d sat down the only other interaction we had with the staff was being berated for one of our dogs barking (which we tried to keep to a minimum but other dogs being near triggered repeats). Now unless I’m mistaken mind control of dogs is not my strength so there wasn’t a great deal we could do. Perhaps friendlier...
Read moreBad service → the barista was extremely grumpy, never smilled and mumbled everything). Bad coffee → I like my coffee sugar free and I had to add 3 packs of sugar to be able to drink it. Bad hygiene → Crumbs everywhere, sticky tables, dirt on the floor, etc. The coffee was almost empty, so the employee have no excuse not to clean the place. Regular price → £2.55 for a capuccino, that's the average in Lancaster.
Will never go back again. There are so many great other places in the centre where you can drink a decent coffee in a clean environment (Study Room, Vincenzo's, Print Room, Greggs, etc.) so go there instead...
Read moreWhere to start? ...... staff not welcoming, communicative, or friendly, and I'd go as far as saying surly! Not busy, yet took ages to be served. Pannini not heated properly (cold in middle) and still on the edge of being cold after reheating. Coffee awful - badly made, and bitter blend. Tables were dirty, not cleaned for good hour we were there. Toilet dirty too. On leaving, had to avoid piles of dog mess in walkway next to cafe .... which although isn't cafes fault, shd really be cleared... not that difficult to check around cafe and swill with water....
