Lovely place inside, with nice calm atmosphere, but unfortunately not to my taste. I had the chai which I've had before elsewhere, but the ginger was so strong I couldn't drink it. I overheard another customer saying she liked hers although very spicy, but she'd finished hers so I just presumed it's not to my usual taste. Myself and a friend had the last two rhubarb and custard brioche which were out and both felt they were quite dry. It was the end of the day, and if they are out on the counter uncovered all that time I imagine this might happen. Country loaf has nice crust. it’s a little too dense for a sourdough in my personal opinion, but I do enjoy the satisfying springy texture. Organic stoneground flour bag looks good and sounds cute. Although the aroma is more subtle than I expected, it still tastes good with rustic wheat flavors. And no, they don’t offer halves. (Somehow I ended up with 1.5 loaves of bread as souvenirs…)

Read moreThis place is absolutely incredible. Their pastries/cakes and breads are astounding with flavour combinations that blow my mind every time I try them. The lunch menu is always superb, I leave this place a happier person and I’m a miserable git. Seen some gripes about the price but there are places in town that charge similar and nowhere meet the quality, care and skill this place has to offer.
Staff are really nice and the building itself is lovely, they’ve respected its original features whilst adding some tasteful modern touches.
