Honestly disappointed and I won’t be going back. We arrived with my assistance dog hoping to sit inside where it’s be a bit cooler but was told I had to go round the outside of the restaurant and sit outside on the balcony and couldn’t walk through the restaurant “because of the dog” and despite that being against the law (equality act 2010) I didn’t want confrontation so we complied.

The starters (folded garlic bread and arancini) were delicious although it was a bit odd that the hot arancini was served in a cold tomato sauce. Desserts (tiramisu and chocolate orange tart), were also lovely, however the main courses let the meal down. I had the pasta with chicken in white wine sauce, the sauce was split meaning it was extremely greasy as the oils had separated from the grey cream sauce, and the dish had no flavour other than the thyme mixed through it. My partner had the linguini with seafood and said the tomato sauce was so overpowering you couldn’t taste anything else and the seafood was over cooked and rubbery (he’s a chef so this was extremely disappointing for him). We both left more than half...

Booked a meal at 16:15 on Christmas Eve for two adults and two children. Walking up to the restaurant you could see it had been hugely over booked. We only ordered mains and a drink and the food was rushed out. After an hour we where asked to leave because the next people had arrived for our table. Left us speechless and refused to pay the Bill given it was so insulting. The 'manager' then came over and asked what the 'commotion' was about. I attempted a recalibration on basic standards of customer service where she then proceeded to explain a table of four has 1 HR 15 mins allotted which she also agreed was a joke. Resteraunt clearly got greedy to exploit a busy night and someone didn't do the calculations properly. It was essentially a conveyor belt of tables with customer satisfaction at the bottom of the priorities. People queuing up in the cold outside as we where leaving. Bill left unpaid and will be following up with a complaint to 'head office'. Huge shame as it's a local...

If I could leave zero stars about this particular restaurant then I would. I made a reservation for tomorrow evening ( 5th of march) to celebrate my 42nd birthday as I love Ask Italian. I get an email this morning saying they can not accommodate the 5 of us. I am absolutely annoyed as this booking was made on the 22nd of February so in advance and they cancel the day before. Shocking customer service! I spoke to the manager Harry who made excuses about the system and just said oh we are extremely busy yes that is exactly why I made a booking. He suggested moving times but I made a specific time for a reason and to be honest he wasn't that helpful. I have eaten at quite a few restaurants within this chain and have never had any problems at all. I will be contacting the Head office too. I have now got to find somewhere else at short notice so thanks for that. You need to sort out your online booking service or give more notice when cancelling someone's...

Me and my husband went for our anniversary and had our newborn baby and a dog, we were seated outside and despite it being a cool evening we were very toasty under the heat lamps! Despite being outside we were not forgotten! We were regularly checked on by Becky and Jemma who made sure our evening was special, when we ordered our desert they took the extra step and made it look so amazing!! We even asked for a little pot of whipped cream for our dog and they brought out a pot of cream with carrots as a treat for her, we couldn’t have been more happy! We were planning on going somewhere for drinks after our meal but was enjoying ourselves and the view so much we stayed where we were! It was hard to navigate my pram through the restaurant but Jemma went out of her way moving the furniture to ensure I could get by with ease and held the doors open. Would love to come back another time and very much recommend for anyone to go and have a great time!

Visited here without prebooking and were greeted by helpful staff and seated straight away. Staff were all pleasant and orders arrived promptly. The premises were a little noisy, with the sound of other diners seeming to echo, which made it a little difficult to hear what the staff were saying when taking orders. Food was lovely and well presented. My only issue was the portion size for the price paid. The sides were fine, but I felt the mains would have been better with a bit more of the vegetables accompanying the fish. We also ordered a pizza, which was a reasonable size, just a little bit more than I would expect to pay. We enjoyed the food, just would have liked a little more! Maybe it is a ploy to make sure you have room left for desserts, but spending over £50 for 2 people for a drink, side and main each was enough of a treat.
