The price point may be higher than your average burger joint but it's absolutely worth every penny. Many American fast food outlets seem to lose the speed of service and quality of food when they come to the UK, ending up as disappointing as the slightly wilted lettuce in their burgers, but Five Guys offers exceptional food so good that you'll be thinking about it for weeks after. The restaurant itself is disappointingly reminiscent of an 80s greasy spoon cafe, which would be great if it had prices to match. Regardless, decor aside I have yet to find fault with a single one of their burgers and through some clever business restructuring, I could see this branch of Five Guys becoming the go to place for something you could easily make at home.
Spice addicts rating - 3/5. Quite disappointing on the scale of things considering we are but metres away from the Mecca of spice, lower Briggate. But if you're lucky you are very likely to see devoted followers on their hajj to score their latest...
