Came here with my girlfriend and the Pad Thai and noodle soup were actually really good! The drinks and service were nice too, however the problem was we asked to get a dessert takeaway as they were about to close. We ordered the Durian sticky rice pudding to go and on our way home we noticed something smelt bad. When we opened it at home the smell was so awful I had to take it outside and I thought maybe the fruit is meant to smell like that so tried and it actually didn’t taste too bad which is when I realised it was in fact the rice pudding that was off like rotten yeast. I went back to the shop to simply let them know what happened so they can be more careful it doesn’t happen again as can make someone sick. I didn’t want to make it a big deal but the lady I think was the manager was being extremely rude making me smell the Durian fruits which I said wasn’t too bad and I was trying to explain the fruit was fine it was the rice pudding that was rotten. This lady wasn’t listening to me and another lady behind the kitchen started being rude to me as well saying they make the rice pudding fresh every day which is great but doesn’t make sense why mine smelt and tasted like rotten yeast. There was obviously a mistake we were given one that had been sitting there too long which is fine, it can happen but the way the staff handled it being extremely rude after serving a rotten item that can be serious is not okay. It’s a shame because I actually enjoyed it until this happened and now I do not recommend this place due to...
Read moreI actually really really love the food at this place, it is one of the best Thai places in Leeds (in my opinion)! The service on the other hand does leave something to be desired… went in on a Monday evening, asked for a table of 2 and we were sat down upstairs, the first of (later) 4 tables in that area. Two more tables of 2 and a table of 10 were seated near us, at least 5-15 minutes after us. The waitress in our area went to both tables of 2 before even coming to us, and then when I asked one of the waitresses if we could order she said ‘I’m very busy you can order when I’m ready’, but she clearly had time to take an order from the other tables (I am a waitress myself and I know that often we have a list of things that we need to do in our head and have to continuously re-prioritise as we go along, but that never warrants rudeness!). She then went to the table of 10 who had arrived WAY after us, and took their order BEFORE ours. I caught the eye of a second waitress and asked if we could order, she sort of sighed and said yes reluctantly.
When our food arrived we were not given napkins, cutlery or chopsticks and had to ask for them.
0 complaints about the food, it is always brilliant so props to the chefs! Might suggest eating from here as takeout instead of...
Read moreThe rudest restaurant I’ve ever been to in the UK. The service was shockingly bad. We were seated at a cramped two-person table shoved into a corner right next to the toilet. I’m not even a large person and I literally couldn’t get into the seat. We politely asked if we could move to another table, and the staff refused.
I pointed out that two other guests (who happened to be white) were seated comfortably at a spacious four-person table. Why is that acceptable for them but not for us? Is this racial discrimination?
Only then did the staff reluctantly pull the two tables apart and let us sit down — no apology, no smile. Just as we were about to settle in, another waiter came over and said we couldn’t “rearrange tables” on our own, and told us to move back to the corner we couldn’t even fit into. I explained that it wasn’t us who moved the tables — it was their own colleague. He rolled his eyes dramatically and said “fine” in the most condescending tone imaginable before storming off.
No service whatsoever. Then they came back again to tell us we had to leave our drinks outside. At that point, I had planned to order drinks from them, but their attitude was so rude and unwelcoming that we just left. Absolutely...
