Fern Modern Sushi — Restaurant in Leeds

I’ve visit the restaurant today with my friend. The place is very cozy and giving Japanese vibes with counter seats made us closely visible the food preparation. The fish looks fresh and taste so nice. I’ve order Uni nigiri, which the size of Uni per bite was surprisingly big and worth the price. I’ve order Salmondon which I really recommened for salmon lover. The salmon pieces is so big and taste so good with the wasabi and salmon roe.

The owner she prepared most of the dish by herself and it was so nice to have a talk with her. You’ll never get bored sitting and experience japanese food while having a small talk and looking at the food preparation steps. Every dish was newly cook since the step of cutting fish, placing and decorating.

If you find yourself wanting delicious sushi and/or ramen, then please look no further than Fern. We stopped by on an impromptu visit after the decor intrigued us, and I'm so so happy I did. Both of us ordered the available lunch menu, and for £13.50 it was a steal. The tonkotsu broth is rich and flavourful, and Fern was so quick with offering wasabi, ginger, and even chilli to add to the ramen. The ramen set menu comes with 6 pieces of hosomaki, and you choose which kind you would like. Both of us chose salmon, and watched as it was handmade and rolled in front of us. It was made with love and precision (and generous portions of salmon!). I'll absolutely be coming back ASAP to try more, and I will be saving up for the Omakase menu too! I cannot express more how badly I think every sushi lover...

Absolutely blown away by Chef Fern and Fern Modern Sushi! This isn't just sushi; it's an experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was noticeably superior to any other sushi place I've visited. The cleanliness is impeccable, and being able to watch Chef Fern and her team prepare the food right in front of you is a testament to their technical skill and pristine prep standards.
