We were a group of 8 ladies, out celebrating a birthday and had booked a bottomless brunch.
We arrived early so had a drink first. £40 for 3 cocktails and a coke!
We got settled around a table, for a bouncer to come and ask us to move and the table was pushed back.
After our drinks, we were told our tables were ready. Unfortunately we were not happy we had been seated at two separate tables of 4. We had booked a table for 8 so did not expect to be seated separately from our friends. After discussion Aaron managed to fit us around a single table it was a squeeze but a better solution for us.
Our waitress came straight over and poured prosseco and then came straight back to take our cocktail orders, then our food order she was brilliant. We had a constant stream of prosseco and cocktails!!!! She was too good 😂, we drank loads, it truly was bottomless,!
The food was good we mainly all ordered burgers or chicken salad with a few extra rounds of fries to try to soak up the booze!!
The toilets were far away and only 3 women's toilets!!! The toilets completely let the place down!! This venue is really large, 3 toilets were definitely not enough! As the night drew on there was a member of staff making sure there was no queue jumping and she had access to a further 2 more toilets in the staff area that she was guiding women to.
The waitress was very good at her job we all had a great time. The place was loud with a DJ playing and people dancing right up to our table it's not the place to go to be able to chat .
Aaron the manager came to check how our experience was whilst we were paying the bills, he asked what we were celebrating, a 40th, and then brought out shots for all! Not that we needed more alcohol. We stayed for a while and enjoyed the music before moving on.
Would I do a bottomless lunch here again, yes but I would come earlier and be seated upstairs and then come downstairs afterwards to enjoy the...
Read moreWow.... I never complain, never left a bad review in my life but I'm in shock!
Came for lunch, completely dead vibe, was dark, dingy, felt sticky and unclean, no music so sat in complete silence for about half an hour (when they eventually turned on the music it was skipping for about 10 mins straight was just a bit awkward?)
The other tables got served but we had to order at bar, didn't get greeted or anything? No one checked up on us either....was just sort of left to our own devises as other tables got tended to??
Food was unacceptable in my opinion, had 'empire state chicken' chicken was inedible with plastic cheese, tiny bit of waffle that was rock hard,
Just wasn't worth the price at all, no flavor to anything & I honestly couldn't eat most of it apart from the chips - I am someone who is easily pleased and not a picky eater in the slightest, but I honestly couldn't have more than two bites of the meal. We ordered sides as well, which were really underwhelming and my friend didn't enjoy theirs either, was so unimpressed.
We would of called someone over but found the staff to be unapproachable and they seemed to all gather on the other side of the bar and we was rushed for time
We left and wasn't acknowledged by any staff....
There are so many lovely places in Leeds to go with friendly staff, lovely food and a good atmosphere....Manahatta looks lovely from the outside and was expecting good things but definitely wont be visiting here again...
Read moreBefore I start let me say I visited this establishment during covid restrictions so clearly could not get a full experience. That being said let's get into it.
Manahatta (strange name) is situated on a nice parade with some upmarket cafes and restaurants. From the outside I was impressed, it looked quite glitzy. It didn't continue in the same vein inside but that's not to say it was bad. It's just without a heaving crowd I think it's easier to spot how nice somewhere truly is (or isn't).
The bouncers didn't make a fuss about letting us in which is definitely a thing in the capital. They were actually quite friendly and accommodating (they clearly didn't graduate from bouncer university).
The music was your standard bar/club fare however they hadn't taken into account that their capacity was reduced and people had to stay at their tables and talk so it was WAY to loud.
The food was decent if not spectacular but for those wasted on pinot noir it was more than adequate. Don't go there expecting to have your evening meal, just buy finger food to line your stomach in preparation for the impending over consumption.
I can imagine outside of covid restrictions it would be a good place to dance, get drunk, shout in your friends ears because of said drunkenness then order a couple of baskets of spicey chicken balls because let's face it, that's what you do when you are...
