Lost and Found: Lose this place and find somewhere else. A lively environment in one of the most busy streets in Leeds on a Saturday night. The venue itself is decked out nicely. The restaurant is underground and quite small. I hadn’t been there before and when I asked staff about the location of the restaurant I was waved in the right direction like I was something on the bottom of their shoe. The staff in the restaurant were friendly but there was nobody to take my booking information so I had to go to the bar. At that point there was a lot of checking and verification of my booking which continued after I’d been seated at the table. The restaurant is small. The waiter seemed to think it was fun to chat to the people on the table near us, and leaning forward to them which meant that his rear end hovered over our table. The wine, costing £30+ per bottle was not chilled enough. The food was just “OK”, dry, barely warm (as opposed to the white wine which was barely cold), a little bland and a bit lacklustre in the way it was presented. My main was pan fried chicken. I call it “Bland dried chicken”. My dessert was the banana and chocolate “bomb” which was so frozen hard I had to attack it for a long time before it broke to reveal a tiny amount of ice cream and tiny amount of banana which was impossible to taste under the river of chocolate. The lighting is so bad there (and yes, bad not “ambient”) that I actually think they turn the lights down to disguise the bad cooking. A trip to the loo takes you through a maze of doors. Once inside the lock was broken on the cubicle I used and the cap was missing on the tap. Bizarrely there was an attendant in the toilet. There was an enormous bag of disposed paper towels on the floor. I’m struggling to understand the image trying to be created here. If you’re going to try to go upmarket then don’t have broken locks, shoddy taps and a pile of used paper towels open in a bag on the floor. I’d suggest addressing the food issues and welcoming guests properly if you want to cultivate an upmarket image. The attendant’s chief role is to ration out a meagre amount of soap which is unavailable anywhere else in the bathroom. I think he wanted a tip. My tip was to fix the lock on the cubicle door. The bill for 2 of us (mains, desserts and wine) came to around £96. I would say definitely not worth it. Really disappointing as it was my friend’s birthday.

First visit to a Lost & Found, although I’ve visited the Albion Place venue because I got lost on the way to Greek Street (lesson here : double check which one your friends are at!!). I joined friends who’d book bottomless brunch; although I was just brunching. The BB concept here is great and the variety of drinks and duration of stay is good. The Greek St Venue doesn’t feel as decadent as Albion Place but it does have a lovely underground library feel and the space nicely incorporates the bars and kitchen. The brunch menu is great, plenty of staples and a few speciality dishes. I opted for chilli smashed avocado with a side of salmon (which unfortunately didn’t arrive). It was nicely presented but the flavours were poor. One friend ordered the baked breakfast which looked fantastic and she was very impressed. Comments on the drinks were positive, and it definitely felt as though service was weighted towards drinks rather than food - which will work well for some guests and not for others. The experience as a whole is great value, but not a memorable feed.

WAY OVERPRICED. Came for bottomless brunch. Stood at bar for ages and everyone walked past us. Had to ask 3 times to be seated. Same thing at table; consistently ignored. Waitresses looked us dead in the eyes then turned around and walked off. Took 20 mins to get started on drinks. Food was poor and my veg friend was disappointed with her options. And to be fair it was all breakfast food. The menu should change after 1pm for more lunch/dinner vibes. Pancakes were ass. Friends avocado egg toast was unseasoned. Veg friend was charged £3 extra for 3 pieces of plain cold waffle. Drinks fine obviously. Prosecco is prosecco. Music waaay too loud. Couldnt hear ANYTHING, had to go outside.

Absolutely terrible and embarrassing experience - by far the worst bottomless brunch we had all ever had, was hoping to “treat” my work team of 5 to a Christmas brunch and was left red faced and embarrassed. We got off to a bad start by sitting 15 minutes waiting for our first drink which turned out to be the cheapest weakest vodka you can imagine (it was debatable if the lemonade/pepsi actually contained any vodka) and badly filled pints of flat Amstel . Wouldn’t have been so bad if we could have had a conversation whilst waiting however the music was so loud you could not even hear each other without shouting directly into each others ear drum, yes i understand it was busy and the festive season however i did not expect it be so loud and chaotic at 4pm in the afternoon. The young gent serving was pleasant but drinks continued to saunter to our table sporadically with orders being taken but drinks not arriving for 15 to 20 minutes every time, after one hour of putting up with this I embarrassingly had to complain and was told it was very busy so unfortunately nothing they could do - despite a slight improvement in service after my complaint I am of the opinion if the service cannot be delivered with the staff you have then the service should not be advertised. The toilets were dirty and unkept with people openly doing drugs whilst leaving empty bags of drugs on the floor and in the urinals with no locks on the toilet doors to ensure privacy. The only slight positive was the food arrived promptly and whilst nothing to shout about it was edible and warm.

Overall one of the worst experiences we have ever had whilst dining out and to top this off a £25 service charge was tacked onto our bill without any notification. I did discuss this with the gentleman serving us and agreed to half of this but again left a bad taste in our mouths.

All in all a terrible experience, such a shame as it is in one of Leeds prime locations and has such potential, maybe a great venue for lively drinks and a dance but please don’t consider this as a brunch venue, we have had many bottomless brunches before and this was by...

A shambles from the start. Booked a table for 5.30pm, got told to go to the bar which was packed to let them know im here. Qued up and got put in an area to fit 4 people when i knew i had booked 6 but just assumed this was the waiting area, waited 20 minutes no one came over no drinks or staff came over at all. The table was so low literally at our knee’s we could not have eaten food there, infact it wasnt even a table it was some sort of box. Then i qued back up at the bat explained this waited another 10 minutes for someone else to talk to me, got told there was no more bookings or dinner reservations she showed me the paperwork and i pointed out my name and booking on there to which she apologised and said other people were at our table. She went and moved them and then we looked at the menu, one of my friends wanted a pizza there was no pizza’s left, then three of us ordered steaks there was no steaks so we settled for chicken tenders and chips and a chicken kebab. The food was cold when it arrived and the chicken in the kebab was pink and had to be returned. We had to wait over an hour for our drinks to arrive and went over twice to chase these up. The boys pints were flat and everything was just shocking service so far. They took the chicken kebab of the bill rightfully so and then when it came to paying we were told the tills were down, none of us were impressed as the service was so slow we waited ages for food and drinks and our night was ticking away. We just wanted to leave i asked for a manager to talk to and asked two seperate staff no manager ever came, the waitress seemed really embarrassed and understood why we werent happy with the service so she took 20% off the bill for us but even so it was a shambles and i would not recommend this...
