I recently visited Marcel’s Café in Meanwood with a friend, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed catch-up.

The coffee was rich and expertly brewed, and the cake was absolutely delicious—fresh, light, and full of flavor. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into everything they serve.

A special shoutout to Marcel, who was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. His passion for great coffee and top-notch service really shines through, adding a personal touch that makes the café stand out.

My friend and I ordered a large breakfast and a b.e.s t, my breakfast was re-fried eggs, re-fried chips(nt on menu) dried out beans, sausage that i was not told, was not meat and under-cooked bacon, cold soggy toast. The worst meal I have ever been served. I returned most of my plate, and my friend enquired about his b.e.s.t in order to cancel but the order had been forgotten! so a quick refund had us swifly moving on. A small and cosy cafè with the friendliest of staff and great for value food!

The menu selection is good, lots of different options to choose from. I had a bacon and brie toastie/sandwich and it was honestly to die for, it was sooo good!

Our server, believe it may have been Marcel himself, was such a nice guy, provided great service and we were all very happy with the overall experience.
