Maybe Later Restaurant — Restaurant in Leeds

Just had a fabulous meal at Maybe Later. We booked on Sunday night for Monday night as we were celebrating an anniversary and given that the only time available was 6.45pm we assumed the restaurant was fully booked.

On arrival, we were the only table but shortly afterwards a table of 4 arrived. I appreciate it’s a quiet night and why they’d booked both tables early evening so not to keep the restaurant open late unnecessarily.

Cannot fault the food nor service …5 star ⭐️ without question…I started with the salmon croquettes and my partner the huge game terrine. He was even offered more bread to finish off the terrine. Our mains were the lamb cassoulet and the mushroom risotto - both super tasty and delicious. We couldn’t squeeze desserts in unfortunately! Great selection of drinks were available too!!

When we requested the bill it was delivered in a gold envelope labelled “the damage”… quite quirky but would have been made all the difference if a couple gold chocolate coins were in the envelope with the bill ☺️

If I had to be particular picky…not having paper towels or a hand dryer in the lavatories was a let down. A towel was available in both the queen & king toilets which was adequate given how quiet the restaurant was but on a busy night I don’t think that’s the most hygienic of options.

As many others have said, the food is absolutely delicious. The ambience and settings are perfect for a relaxed and romantic meal but also if you just want to be somewhere where you can unwind. It's not very often you can be completely impressed but we were. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The waitress was attentive and there was a lovely little taster to set the scene. The lighting and soft jazz music in the background was lovely. The wait between courses was just right, enough time to digest but not too long that you forgot what you ate. All the food was fresh, hot and beautifully presented. Hats off to the chef, absolutely professional. I had the prawn and chorizo linguine and the prawns were to die for. Considering the extremely high quality of food on display, the final bill was extremely reasonable. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough and have already booked for Valentine's. This restaurant is amazing (and fyi I have not received any freebies for the review lol). I just want it to succeed, Wetherby desperately needed a high quality restaurant like this and I want others to experience this. A Fabulous Lunch Experience

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying lunch here today, and I’m still smiling about it! From the moment I arrived, everything—from the warm welcome to the final bite—was simply spot on.

We sat outside in the sun and the atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, with a thoughtful attention to detail that made the whole experience feel special. We ordered sardines on toast, rare beef sandwich, artichoke hearts and olives (which were amazing and had to order another round!) and every element was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection with obvious love.

We were served by Lorenzo but the whole team were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do—something that always makes a difference.

It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers on all fronts: food, service, and setting. But today’s lunch was a standout. I’ll absolutely be back—and recommending it to everyone I know! We will be back there for dinner again very...
