McDonald's — Restaurant in Leeds

Went later in the evening on a Wednesday, and went into the restaurant to use the loos and make my order.

Firstly, I recognise it was really busy at that time, both the drive thru and in the main restaurant. Perhaps that was unusual and down to people being more active later in the evening due to the heat being intense during the day.

That said, having worked in a maccies for several years during uni I was a bit unimpressed with how slow people at least appeared to be working, with big queues to clear. I ordered a pretty standard wrap of the day medium meal and a hamburger, and watched my items sit ready for a good 4 or 5 minutes whilst a manager and three staff on the front worked to clear off orders.

I'm not going to say everyone needs to be forced to work super hard and really fast etc. As that can cause mistakes but I reflect on my own experience in situations like that where a good shift manager would just take charge, give a bit more direction and Inject some urgency. In terms of putting orders together they could have split the roles so someone goes after all the easy small ones like mine whilst the manager and other staff work on the larger, more complex orders or ones containing mcflurries, which are a pain to make quickly.

All in all the food was still great, a little less fresh due to its minutes on the waiting table but alright, but I did notice that my wrap had been put in the box the wrong way round? So when I removed the top I was faced with the closed, bottom end of the wrap not the open, top end. Bit of a rookie/rushed...

A quick visit to the drive thru for a breakfast. I'm pleased to say that the service I got today was a great improvement on my last visit here, I pre ordered my food via the McDonald's app choosing the mighty McMuffin with brown sauce with an extra hash brown and a Galaxy caramel latte to drink. The service was friendly and swift with only a minute or two wait from the order terminal and food collection window, the car park and public area was very clean and ample bins for my food wrappers and bag. All in all a pleasent experience if you can call a McDonald's visit an experience. As with most things at the moment I found the cost a little bit of a bone of contention but it is what it is. I think the last time I had a McDonald's breakfast it was about 4 quid, today's visit cost me just shy of £8 which feels extortionate for what you get.

Tills were not working, staff acted like they couldn't care less and said 'use the machine self serve like everyone else'. I ordered on Just Eat, a Medium Italian Stack meal, that comes with the burger, fries and a drink as well as a berry muffin. I recieved the drink that was included in the medium meal deal and the berry muffin that I wanted but no burger or fries. Even though it clearly said on the recipe that I had ordered more than just a muffin and a drink. So the helpful delivery driver can't fault him, it wasn't his fault had let the restaurant know, and had told him that they would give me a phone call and arrange a redelivery for the missing items, all I had to do is go back on just eat and let them know that i have missing item's from my order. Which i did, but it only give me the option to get a refund. So I've tried to ring the kirkstall macdonalds a handful of times to get this cleared up and hopefully get the food that i wanted that was missing. But unfortunately no one's answered and no one has bothered to ring me back like I was told they would, so overall I'm not happy about...
