Pizza Freak — Restaurant in Leeds

I was intrigued by this place since I had never tried detroit-style pizza before. Unfortunately the experience was mediocre at best and I won't order again. Delivery was reasonably fast and the food arrived hot. The pizza was substantial for the price, the box felt surprisingly heavy and the packaging was very nice.

I opened the box up to find that annoyingly it not cut up into slices, something that was difficult and messy for me to do with pizza this thick. The red sauce was perhaps excessively thick and completely overpowered the taste of the cheese, which by the way was extremely uneven with loads on one side but hardly any on the other. The crispy brown edges looked appetising at first but turned out to be mostly cheese which had gone down the size of the pan and burnt giving a bitter taste.

Been to Pizza Freak for only a little while now and I've been holding back on reviewing as I wanted to see how this place held up long term. Safe to say it's one of the best pizzas I have ever had, that's not taking into account some of the best sides I have had as well. The owner has and and still continues to put a lot of time into research of what makes pizza so good, as they nail it every time.

I have only eaten within the restaurant but have seen negative reviews about delivery, if you have had a bad delivery give this place another chance and come visit it in the restaurant. It's not the restaurants fault if you get a poor deliveroo or just eat driver, not everything is in the hands of the restaurants.

Best pizza in Leeds. It offers something a little bit different from anywhere else too. 3rd visit and each time it’s been spot on.

The garlic knots are incredible, the portion size is huge too. So good! And the range of starters leave you in danger of not fitting in pizza.

The cheesy crust on the rectangle Detroit style is like the crispy best bits from cheese toasties overspill but in a pizza. And the rise on that dough is so clever. Generous toppings.

They have the full range of pizza to make sure everyone in the fam is happy. The toppings are genius combos too.
