Me and my wife went in as we were passing by horsforth and of course we were starving. The restaurant is really not something should be called a restaurant as I think their business model is based upon take away. When we went in we were the only people who were in, and that was a bit scary, all the other pubs, bars, and restaurants were buzzing. This one got good review in google for some reason so we went in. The cutleries were cheap and you can tell from the look of it, and the food was not great. It was bland and when that feedback was given the response they prepare meal for british taste, instantly I felt like I am a character of Goodness Gracious Me. The food we ordered were not cooked well at all, or should i say not the way it suppose to be cooked, and the more concerning point is they offered papadum at the begining as if it was free then they turn around and charged for it! The papadum tasted old and oily! Ew! Anyway, deffo I am not going back to this one ever rather I will try some...
Read moreVisited on Good Friday, it looked busy but luckily we had booked beforehand. Ordered the lamb chops, chicken tikka and onion bhajis for starters, they were lovely. Bhajis were some of the best I’ve ever had. The sauce on the lamb chops was very nice as well.
Had the Tandoori chicken for our main, tikka masala and a lamb balti. The tandoori chicken was absolute Devine, it came with a naan which we upgraded to a garlic naan, it was so garlicy and soft.
The restaurant is rather small but it has a good atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Service was impeccable. Very reasonably priced for the location. I can see why moghuls was recommended to us by friends.
It is bring your own alcohol - if you forget they allow you to buy from the pub next door or you could nip to Morrisons up the road
Would definitely recommend to curry lovers in the local area - we...
Read moreFirst time trying the Moghul in horsforth, we had other options but we decided on this place and it was a good choice indeed. Lovely inside the place, calm and not too noisy. The menu and choices were very good, and food once arrived was really nice , and worth a wait. You get offered popadoms and drinks on arrival, but it's bring your own alcohol at this restaurant , they only serve soft drinks, which isn't a problem. The service was good and responsive, professional , once the food had arrived, the portions are big, and you can take any food away with you in a bag if you can't finish it all. The only slight issue is that it's rather small inside, so if it's busy on a evening, it would be a problem as their isn't alot of seating options , and as their is tables / chairs quite near to the entrance. But I'd deffinately use Moghul again but during a...
