Quite annoyed actually. Went in today being told I can’t have hot water for my child’s formula milk. They said they can warm milk somehow in a bottle but cannot give me hot water due to safety. It waters in a bottle, I mean it’s a common thing most people do everyday which is to warm water. There is no rocket science to this.
Then also told I can’t have my pram in a certain place so I said to the staff that’s fine but it’s your responsibility to keep the pram safe. Nope they then said no keep the pram and we’ll give you a more suitable table which is fine. Strange because I’ve been here many times and never seen this manager before and today the staff were just being awkward.
When the food came, I didn’t complain because I couldn’t be bothered but my food was mixed up between my friends and my order so we ended up sharing out of each others plates.
I had to go to Costa next door to get a tiny bit of hot water which they kindly did for me and were also shocked that nandos couldn’t give some hot water. It’s quite laughable really. This was met with a very sketchy ordering procedure, which resulted in us almost leaving, but ending up ordering from the till from a staff member who was actually the only polite one on the team. The manager was arrogant and useless and the supervisor mirrored her attitude, when twice he was abrupt with us. Far too much ego and way too little customer experience skills. I won’t be back there in this lifetime. All in all the most underwhelming Nando’s experience in living history and I had to pay for it. I thought I’d gone into Karen’s by mistake at first. I anticipate the standard response of “we’ve relayed it to the team, it won’t happen again etc.” The issue is the team leadership that is a catastrophic failure on any interpretation. Read moreAbsolutely awful service! Me and my family love nandos and always go to the one in Harrogate but the one here- particularly the service was a huge let down and we ended up leaving. We struggled ordering with both the QR code AND the app for around 20 mins so we decided to go to the till to order from there as you usually can. However the manager comes over tells us ‘we can’t get anyone behind the till at the moment’ and told us to go back to the table to try the QR code again, despite us telling them we had issues- very dismissive of our problem. All they had to do was open the till themselves taking a few mere SECONDS out of their day to take our order (their job btw) plus I also saw like 5 people behind the counter??
