Will not be returning due to very poor customer service and rude manager.
We had booked for Shuffleboard for a friend's birthday. Arrived at around 16.15pm (which was the first bar we visited in Leeds).
Ordered drinks at the bar, 1 beer and 1 mocktail for me and my partner. I ordered the cherry blossom spritz. The barmaid spilt the contence of the drink all over the bar whist making and then topped with sprite. Then passed it across the bar. The drink was £6.95 for what ended up being a tiny potion of the alcohol free drink.
I asked if the barmaid would remake the drink, as half the main ingredients ended up on the bar. She didn't know what to do and said that's what the menu says. I asked to speak to the manager, who initially spoke to the barmaid and was quite dismissive of me. It was loud in the bar so hard to hear.
My partner tried to speak to the manager who then accused my partner of being aggressive which is not in his nature. The manager was rude and would not listen and even offered to take my partner outside... the bar manager was the aggressive one. We just wanted the drink and to join our friends and was quite shocked by what had become of the situation. He offered to remake the drink and walked away whist shouting stuff but instead of remaking the drink he rang for the bouncers to remove my partner which was not necessary. Obviously the manager did not listen to my complaint and was just in a bad mood as he seems to think the issue was about ice when there was no mention of ice in my complaint. I was being charged £6.95 for a sprite. The bouncers were also shocked, and agreed my partner was not being aggressive. They said he could stay on the premisis downstairs to finish his drink. Great that there is a 0 tolerance to aggressive behaviour, tone and language however it would be great if the manager had the same courtesy towards customers and should not be threatening to take someone outside.
In response: I asked for a refund and wasn't offered a refund. 100% the manager said 'shall we take this outside'. The bouncers said to leave a review online about the manager as they get complaints about him all the time. My complaint is a separate complaint to my partners as I am my own person and had a bad...
Read moreBeen here before and it was enjoyable, went again on a wednesday evening for a fuller experience and it let us down to be honest. In a good location, only around the corner from the train station. Good atmosphere and generally a nice place to be. Played mini golf. The attendent at the golf was watching tv on his laptop. Whilst i don't really care myself, it does seem a bit unprofessional. The course itself was fun, although 1st hole a couple of balls got stuck under the red slide. It did feel a bit cheap in places, something just as simple as a lick of paint might help. It was very dark too in spots making it hard to see to dull balls. Overall though the golf was a good laugh Played pool too. Price seems extortionate, £12 per hour in peak times (after 5pm thurs-sun), 9 every other time, but the cues were good and the tables/balls seemed in very good condition. Had some food, this is were some negatives crop in. Myself and a couple of colleagues had pizza. They were incredibly dry and lacking any real toppings. Others had burgers and chips which seemed to go down well though, but the kitchen definitely needs to be less stingy! Played beer pong next, and that scores more negatives. Whilst they provide cool tables and the red cups, the cups actually reeked, almost like foot odur. Need to clean the cups more thoroughly then they are doing! Finally we finished on the table tennis, which was good and i have no complaints about. Drinks overall were good, good selection of lagers/beers/spirits, although it is a tad pricey. I would possibly go again, i have been on a friday evening and the atmosphere was good. I think it just needs a...
Read moreI have never in my life wrote a google review before, but the service was so shocking. Booked mini golf for myself and a friend and was greeted by a blonde girl at the golf entrance. She said that we was 7 minutes late so we had lost our spot. Thought it was slightly strange she couldn't fit us in, but fair enough. I said is there anything that could be done and she rudely snapped at us that she has a busy schedule to keep to. I explained we had travelled quite a distance and was looking forward to the golf as this is our first time experiencing Roxy's. She said wait in the room opposite and i'll come and get you once the rest of my bookings come, I could see from the monitor it looked like two others. So I ordered us drinks, and the till must of been down; she then swore out loud when she realised this and used her phone to add the prices of the drinks. So not only was she rude, also incompetent of adding simple maths. So we waited in the other room for over 20 minutes. I could see that the other bookings had entered within that time, so I went back to the desk and asked her if she had intended on coming to get us, like she promised. She then said we are closing soon and had made no effort to let us know. She said I can let you go round but I need to shut everything off at 10 as I am going out tonight. I honestly couldn't believe it; I was ready to walk to but friend wanted to go round. She then constantly rushed us round the course the whole night. I honestly will never step foot in this establishment again ruined our...
