I’ve been living in England for 12+ years now and I worked at Nando’s before(not white rose but in London). Seen similar issues in other restaurants but having a family member working in the company and still going through these things it’s just sad as I don’t go often nowadays but when I go I wish that the experience would be different. Since I moved to Leeds I believe that were at least 5/6 different Patroes and I met them all. I wonder if the family discount is not available anymore as the times I’ve been I’ve never had it.. The other thing is seeing a restaurant being quiet enough and staff just to hang around and being on their phones including managers not showing the example. The days I normally go there I really feel uncomfortable with the look the manager gives me and that’s a person in specific, a lady with glasses I believe. I remember the times Simon worked in White Rose and it was just amazing how he used to welcome my family and anyone in general. Such a big loss for the restaurant! I’m a chef myself and I praise good food (even if it’s fast food), and good service and Nando’s White Rose is lacking in every aspect. I do must say there’s a few people I can remember Sara I believe is a hostess and she’s always with a smile and asking if everything is okay. In general I don’t recommend Nando’s to anyone anymore because the service is close to zero apart from when some Nandocas are working. Not sure I can attach a photo or not but seeing a manager drinking Monster with a Nandoca who had finished her shift and her friends right in the middle of the restaurant. It’s so unprofessional and I have managed restaurants before. Such a bad example and I really don’t understand how can a restaurant stands out...
Read moreNow, don't get me wrong, I love a Nandos more than the average man, but this one on this day was ill equipped for the footfall they were receiving, ordered on the app, seemed to take an age to get either food or drinks to the table.
Food was good, when it got there, but there were multiple tables around us that were complaining, one of which complained to the lad who dropped their food off, he seemed inexperienced in dealing with complaints and they walked out.
After we had eaten we had ordered our lad a dessert, while he was eating that one of the waiters mates decided they wanted to have a chat with each other, essentially walking straight in and essentially stood right behind us having a catch up, which I thought was very inappropriate but at no fault to the server.
In summary I feel that the team that were working this shift were inexperienced and ill equipped for the amount of people that were in the restaurant, a very care free vibe coming from the staff that were in and it seemed like the manager that was on was just running about 'fighting fires' with different issues and complaints.
I think there are other nandos that aren't a million miles away from this one which I have had better experiences at, don't think I'll be in any rush to go back to this...
Read moreReally disappointed with my visit to Nandos tonight. Started very well and ushered to a seemingly nice booth at the bottom of the restaurant. We soon became aware of an AC vent above us that was blowing cold air, the staff were unable turn this off, so we asked to be reseated and they willingly obliged.
30 mins later I had spied food that looked like my order on the kitchen side... it was there for a solid 10 mins before being brought over to our table, needless to say it was cold.
Again I made my grievance known and they took my food away to redo it.
My family were growing increasingly frustrated as I stole their chips while I watched them devour their chicken.
Eventually my food came out, only without any sides... so I raised my concerns again waiting for the sides while I ate my (now warm) burger - unfortunately there was no extra hot sauce on it... choosing to bite my tongue I added the sauce and finished it off and eventually my sides arrived... the kids had had enough by this point and had long left the table, choosing to peruse the shops while my very patient wife waited with me...
£68 worse off and a very frustrating and disjointed 'family' meal ruined by poor service, poor communication and some.real bad luck....
Needless to say, I won't be...
