This was my go to bar before they opened the tap room at Sovereign square. I still have a lot of love for it but I think the tap list has suffered since the other bar was opened; there isn't the same choice as there used to be. It's one of the few bars I'd feel comfortable having a drink in when I'm by myself so it scores it a point just for that. Friday night and the place was pleasantly full with a slightly older crowd of folk enjoying the beers. The best thing about the place is that it is a good place to talk - you aren't yelling at each other over the music. The beers are really good there is a huge range of interesting stuff and plenty to keep serious beer lovers happy but without being boring or intimidating.
