Headrow House has an amazing LARGE rooftop bar in the centre of Leeds that is great to enjoy through the day or night. There is lots of cover if it's raining and lots of heaters too if it's cold, loads of space for big groups also.
Ordering on the app was pretty good fast service and the staff were pretty pleasant on quieter days. If you happen to go when it's slightly more busier and you do go to the bar to order you can be waiting a long time. Also with the covid restrictions the staff are VERY strict and it can put abit of a downer on your experience. I understand It's rules and safety for customers but some staff can be quite rude about it as when we was at the bar there was a group of 6 of us at the table but only 2 went to the bar and we were told by staff at the bar you couldn't wait to help anyone carry drinks to the tables. Staff also tried to sit people with you who we didn't know so who weren't in our bubble to maximise people coming...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTypical hipster place, but with the nice twist of a large roof terrace.
Good points: Good drinks selection Roof garden Interiors are nicely done (exposed brick, tolix stools etc) Can't comment on the apparently notorious bouncers as there weren't any when we arrived and we walked straight in.
Bad points: Loud, annoying music even at 3pm, preventing conversation Roof terrace full of braying idiots spoiled it somewhat Pricey drinks (Ā£8 a pint is ridiculous in Leeds, it:s not London however hard it tries) Probably the most watered-down Coke I've ever been served I'm almost 40 and felt very old and uncool in here! Parts of it are very dark, especially the stairs - I've a slight visual impairment, and the complete lack of lighting made these very dangerous in parts.
I went here with a works group for payday drinks so didn't specifically choose it. Would I go back of my own volition? Highly unlikely. Too pretentious...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHeadrow house is usually a great night (when you get in) but it seems nowadays your door men donāt want any business with young male students. Everytime weāve tried to come on a weekend I see easily 10 or more people leaving the venue as we try and all we are given is āweāre full for tonightā when itās clearly not. I wouldnāt mind on the off chance but itās a regular occurrence now⦠Itās strange as Belgrave have really friendly bouncers and have a packed mixed crowd every week no problem, but with Headrow there seems to be a motive behind who enters. I love Headrow and Belgrave but the door men of Headrow are a joke, weāll walk up to the venue almost knowing we wonāt get in as the bouncers seem to have a problem with a group of lads even as small as 3 people. Like I say great venue but the door men are killing it for me as we...
