I'm not often in Leeds anymore, but Sela is by far the most chilled out, friendly place in the city and my immediate go to place when I'm in the area. The staff make you feel welcome and comfortable, the bar is red and glowy and the chaos of the city is completely muted. I've mostly been mid week for pizza and cocktails while catching up with friends, but I've been on a few weekend evenings and to a Halloween party and even when it's busy and there's dancing it keeps its chill friendly vibe. Drink prices are very reasonable and what's on offer is unique and thoughtful. Read moreI went here for a fundraiser for a musical. Excellent bands, stand-up atcs and inspirational individual performers. Nice bar... other than the sewage drip on my head, which I suspect was from the above toilets... and the incredibly rude and ignorant barmaid who claimed she ‘was tellin’ me’ that neither she, nor her colleague had not poured my £6.50 Cherry Bakewell Cocktail down the sink... and it was ‘my fault if my friend could not watch a drink whilst I went to the toilet.’
