Fab fab fab!!! This is my excuse to be in leeds. Whenever I’m here in leeds this is deffo on the planned list of stops!! Located in the trinity shopping center in the trinity kitchen. (2nd/3rd level)
Amazing food cooked fresh and abs friendly staff. Simple to order. You order and go wait at the table and when it’s ready the little device thing they give you rings to let you know your order is ready to collect. Beautifully presented every time!!!
The menus contains ingredients and allergy warnings for anyone suffering with food allergies. There is a sign next to menu of food as well to tell staff of any allergies.
Highly recommend the chicken fried noodles, chicken and shrimp fried rice, salt and pepper squid and the pork spring rolls!!
I chicken fried noodles - the noodles are rice noodles topped with nut dressing (beware if you have allergies). Not greasy, heavy or stodgy in away. Sometimes I think there’s not enough of it lol. For starters I love the salt and pepper squid! Abs amazing. This is the starter I always have on top of the order list. They occasionally add the salt and pepper for you but at times they provide it in a container so you can add to your taste.
I was there a week ago and they ran out of the squid but did reccomend the pork spring rolls!! Amazing crispy rolls presented in a tray with a lush peanut based dip. Every bite was crispy and it was not heavy or stodgy in any way! The roll pastry was thin, light and crunchy and crumbled beautifully in mouth. Even after 5/10 mins the rolls didn’t go soggy, or hard or loose taste. Not like some rolls that can have a thicker pastry and go stodgy / soggy / hard after 5/10 mins. Defffo 20 out of 10. This along with the noodles and the rice!! Yes I was stuffed but nothing that shopping around leeds didn’t work off.
Yes I decided to go all out. The best part it was not even expensive ! Alll affordable. Not over priced for the food. Let face it - it’s authentic street style Vietnamese street food and it’s deffo worth the money!!!!
Not sure what to order ?? Worry not the staff and the ladies especially behind the tills (sorry didn’t catch you your name) were amazing and all to happy to help and give recommendations so you don’t have to worry. There are many people there who can’t decide and will get advice from the staff who know their stuff!! There are some restaurants where staff don’t really know the menu and can’t advise but not here!! Really helpful and friendly! Thanks for the...
Read moreAfter taking our buzzer and finding a seat we sat waiting for it to tell us our food was ready, we was waiting a while and after seeing a dish on the side for over 5 mins I went to enquire as people who order after us were collecting their food ( from where the uncovered dish was sat) on enquiring what was going on we were told that there was some confusion with the numbers which happens daily apparently and we were free to take the dish ( no apology ) when i pointed out that it had been sat for quite some time i was told that they could "pour some more broth over it to warm it up" when I said that people had been coming up to collect their food right from where it was placed uncovered ( in COVID times this is unbelievable ) they then said they would cook another as it would only take a min to which i pointed out that the last one took a lot longer than a min to which she replied that it had not and it was ready they had just not put the correct number on the order lol ( so your food was on time we just didn't give you it lol) , there then was what can only be described as a comedy sketch of angry chef and incompetent server. it was then I just said I would have a refund if it was too much trouble at that point another girl who had sprung into action amid the incompetence had made a fresh one and brought it over while the others were still dithering. the manager who obviously sees this multiple times a day just said its human error which of course it is and the right attitude after is then the most important thing, don't try give the customer cold food which has been left uncovered on a busy serving station and if the customer would like a fresh one due to your mistake just...
Read moreNot one to leave reviews but felt this needed posting. I was really disappointed with Pho Leeds in Trinity Kitchen. Before I review the food I would like to comment on the hygiene of the staff, one particular member of staff with long pink hair had it down and the unwashed condition was somewhat off putting to the point where we were concerned that she was handling food. Not one to judge but would suggest it be tied up in future as it was almost touching the food and she kept having to move her hair from her face before dealing with the food. Regardless of this we still wanted Pho anyways, we were excited for the food after researching the reviews but were unfortunately dissapointed. The beanshoots were browning and clearly not fresh, the meatballs were ice cold in the middle and the brisket was tough, as were the noodles. Additionally, unlike the pictures it doesn't come in an actual bowl but is instead served in a paper takeaway bowl with a plastic spoon. Wouldn't have minded the bowl but the pictures do advertise it very differently. It was a real shame. I would like to give credit to the staff where due as they refunded the meal with the cold meatballs...
