PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Leeds

I was very disappointed with the service here. When we entered, none of the staff came to greet us. We were stood inside for several minutes before having to approach someone. Yes, it was a Friday night but basic manners would be to say 'I'll be with you in a moment' and actually acknowledge the customer. Then they could not find our reservation... But we did eventually get sat down. Once seated, we were forgotten again and weren't approached for a food order or even drinks. My dining guest had to ask the manager who was passing by if we could have our order taken. Good arrived in decent time (yaay, a positive!) However, there were a lot of pieces of pasta which were not cooked well, and were crispy. The parts I could eat were tasty. The waitress who ended up serving us was really pleasant, and did lift the atmosphere, so I thank her. Lovely restaurant but the managements are a bit arrogant and not there to help apart of arguments with customers, I had an issue with a voucher code and dined there with my son as he loves pizza express and we attend the Pizzaexpress every 3 times a week but as we live near the pizza express in street lane than this is very handy for my son to have a pizza, my wife just gave birth to our daughter and she couldn’t attend the pizza express but she ordered me a pizza with a deal of £11,95 two course menu we ask the manager louna and she responded not valid on takeaways I explained the that my wife can’t come in because she just gave birth she was not interested at all I said we already spending enough here with my son! In my view managers are there to help the customers need not just through it at your face. We are aware of terms of conditions but there always an Exceptional to deliver a great service at the end we fed...

Went for lunch today, been coming here for a long time now but felt completely let down this time round. Service was well below par, after ordering our food the waitress proceeded to say "that's definitely enough food". This is beyond rude, I as a paying customer can order as little and as much as I like considering I'm the one who's paying. Felt like we weren't welcome, didn't once as us how the food was and received cold service throughout from our waitress. Food was ok, considering we spent £70 we have been well and truly fleeced in the quality department. Pizza was alright, Pollo Milanese wasn't anything like an Italian cuisine, bland and ungarnished side salad. Rainbow slaw was rife with vinegar and the Halloumi bites and Pollenta chips felt cheap. Will not be returning and would recommend people consider other establishments on Street Lane as opposed to Pizza...
