The Thomas Osborne — Restaurant in Leeds

If i could give zero stars i would. Went to this pub for the first time on Friday evening with a friend to meet my partner who had been there a couple of hours. Now being 28 i dont often carry ID with me, as its been a hefty 10+ yrs since iv needed it. The 'girl' i encountered at the bar instantly seemed offish and asked me for ID to which i said i didn't have as i had come straight from work, the colleague i was with was 18 and therefore carried ID with her which she showed and i assumed seeing as though the girl would obviously be able to tell im clearly older than her she would be satisfied to serve us. However she did not. My friend proceeded to buy a drink and i thought i wouldn't cause a scene and would go for a cigarette in the smoking area. To my surprise i saw the bouncer walking towards me, with a regretful smirk he said the girl behind the bar had told him i needed to leave the premises. He agreed she was clearly wrong in her request and that if it was up to him there wouldn't be an issue, however he had to do his job. HOW EMBARRASSING! So i had to leave my 32 yr old boyfriend in the pub. Now i wouldn't want to pull the race card, HOWEVER this seems slightly excessive considering anyone with half a brain cell can see i am CLEARLY of age and clearly sober. Fair enough if she refused to serve me alcohol as I didn't have my ID, I understood that but I am in complete shock that I was asked to leave the premises, especially as it was before 12am. Would NOT step foot in this pub again. If your not a regular to the pub already i would definitely advise staying well clear. Disgusting...

Very Quiet. Arrogant Bar Staff. Pool Table Not Working.

We went to Thomas Osborne pub on a Saturday night and it was virtually empty which should have rung alarm bells. We were the largest group in the pub – only the other 2 tables had between 2 and 4 on …so very confused. Two people behind the bar only one serving when asked if she was busy the response was "I'm busy" Yes on your phone messaging. I got the instant impression that the lady working behind the bar didn't like me, a paying customer should be getting positivity from the bar staff. Not a moody, rude staff member, why work there if you're not going to be nice to customers? Not impressed whatsoever. Disgusting. Won’t be returning...

Been going for quite a few years now, it's a proper local. The regulars are a friendly bunch and even though there seems to be a high turnover of staff, the staff are a good bunch. However, over the past year or so it seems to be attracting more and more idiots, usually big groups of lads who never come to the pub often and act like **s to randomers just minding their own business...obviously they got bored of Banyan...
