Absolutely never going back here again. I wrote a previous review about an assistant not washing their hands. Consequently, every time I've gone back in the Turkish assistant has asked me to remove the review. I explained that I didn't want to. Literally been asked 10x + to remove it. I asked the assistant to 'drop it' & just let me enjoy my coffee in peace, but his requests have been relentless, to the point that it's made me feel uncomfortable. He's been mentioning it when I pay & disturbing me & friends conversations whilst we're enjoying our coffees'. It's made me & 2 other friends feel really uncomfortable. The final straw was when he made my female friend feel really uncomfortable. He explained how he has his 2 children to feed & that my review nearly cost him his job. When that happened, my female friend felt we were being pressured & guilt tripped. It made me feel a little sick as I wouldn't have thought my review would be used against me in such a way. The coffee is nice in there, but this particular assistant cant drop mentioning my previous review & it's beyond a joke now. He clearly has a problem with personal boundaries & washing his hands. It's crazy, as I was literally in there everyday, usually having a couple of coffees' a day with my friends. Probably putting a couple of hundred £'s a month in their till - NEVER AGAIN. At least if I go to Miro or Opposite their is friendly staff who respect personal boundaries & wash...
Read more*edit Been back a few times and it's got better. Had some good coffees, good service and good food. One coffee was really good, might depend on the barista? Same great decor, seats and outdoor space is lovely in the sun. Well done guys. From 2 to 4 stars
This place should be great. It looks great. But it's not. I hope it's startup issues but after the fab decor the service is provided by untrained teenagers who know nothing about coffee and very little about pretty much everything there. After the stale Oreo cake (had to go and ask which were dairy free) arrived (no sign of Oreos in the cake) my coffee was made by a non teenager and sat on the counter for a full 4 minutes before one of the many non busy teenagers finally brought it to me asking "is this for you?" "You tell me... is it an oat milk cappuccino?" Another discussion later appeared it was. The coffee was ok but certainly not an Australian standard cappuccino. More Starbucks standard. Looks good, basics all done poorly.... Will try again in a month and see if anything has changed.... Come on guys, this...
Read morePopped in for a coffee on a Saturday morning. It wasn’t busy but there were several people milling around the collection table. Ordered 2 coffees and sat down at a table and waited. There was chaos at the collection table with the staff seemingly unaware of whose drinks were whose. After watching several takeaway customers (who arrived after me) collect their drinks I went back to ask if my order had been forgotten. Was told plainly no - it’s next. More customers were served and then eventually my order arrived. At this point I was told - oh sorry - someone else must have collected your order. This could not have been the case as I was sat at the table next to the collection point. No orders matched mine as I could hear them all. An improved system for collecting coffees could avoid all this - why not take the name of the person ordering? I think this is common practice at some places! This would make for a far better experience than a scrambled jumble sale...
