Absolutely never going back here again. I wrote a previous review about an assistant not washing their hands. Consequently, every time I've gone back in the Turkish assistant has asked me to remove the review. I explained that I didn't want to. Literally been asked 10x + to remove it. I asked the assistant to 'drop it' & just let me enjoy my coffee in peace, but his requests have been relentless, to the point that it's made me feel uncomfortable. He's been mentioning it when I pay & disturbing me & friends conversations whilst we're enjoying our coffees'. It's made me & 2 other friends feel really uncomfortable. The final straw was when he made my female friend feel really uncomfortable. He explained how he has his 2 children to feed & that my review nearly cost him his job. When that happened, my female friend felt we were being pressured & guilt tripped. It made me feel a little sick as I wouldn't have thought my review would be used against me in such a way. The coffee is nice in there, but this particular assistant cant drop mentioning my previous review & it's beyond a joke now. He clearly has a problem with personal boundaries & washing his hands. It's crazy, as I was literally in there everyday, usually having a couple of coffees' a day with my friends. Probably putting a couple of hundred £'s a month in their till - NEVER AGAIN. At least if I go to Miro or Opposite their is friendly staff who respect personal boundaries & wash...

*edit Been back a few times and it's got better. Had some good coffees, good service and good food. One coffee was really good, might depend on the barista? Same great decor, seats and outdoor space is lovely in the sun. Well done guys. From 2 to 4 stars

This place should be great. It looks great. But it's not. I hope it's startup issues but after the fab decor the service is provided by untrained teenagers who know nothing about coffee and very little about pretty much everything there. After the stale Oreo cake (had to go and ask which were dairy free) arrived (no sign of Oreos in the cake) my coffee was made by a non teenager and sat on the counter for a full 4 minutes before one of the many non busy teenagers finally brought it to me asking "is this for you?" "You tell me... is it an oat milk cappuccino?" Another discussion later appeared it was. The coffee was ok but certainly not an Australian standard cappuccino. More Starbucks standard. Looks good, basics all done poorly.... Will try again in a month and see if anything has changed.... Come on guys, this...

Popped in for a coffee on a Saturday morning. It wasn’t busy but there were several people milling around the collection table. Ordered 2 coffees and sat down at a table and waited. There was chaos at the collection table with the staff seemingly unaware of whose drinks were whose. After watching several takeaway customers (who arrived after me) collect their drinks I went back to ask if my order had been forgotten. Was told plainly no - it’s next. More customers were served and then eventually my order arrived. At this point I was told - oh sorry - someone else must have collected your order. This could not have been the case as I was sat at the table next to the collection point. No orders matched mine as I could hear them all. An improved system for collecting coffees could avoid all this - why not take the name of the person ordering? I think this is common practice at some places! This would make for a far better experience than a scrambled jumble sale...

Came here to try the coffee after a walk at the park, then saw the goodies…. The Dubai Choc brownie we had last weekend was to die for 👌🏻 best treat we’ve had in a long time - so tasty, and a good size too. All the other treat options looked so good too! My wife also enjoyed a Spanish Latte and I tried the Cafe Miel, which was delicious - but I’ll request it extra hot next time (personal preference, I should have known really as I order my cappuccinos the same way). The owner Mr Rand was very friendly and we loved sitting by the roaster and watching/smelling the process firsthand, it reminded us of the Maison Marou chocolate stores in Vietnam 😁 We’ll definitely be back, to enjoy some other treats, try the Turkish coffee and more Cafe Miels 😋

Walked in at 08:40 ish it opens at 08:30 so not many others to compete with :) and a lovely discovery based on the atmosphere - the marketing lovely coffee beans seating all positive Major let down was the lady serving at the till and taking orders looked so unfriendly even when we tried to smile and try to be nice it wasn’t reciprocated - must have been bad day ( let’s hope) The coffee was good - so we might go again Also fead about it in the shop and lined thier ethics Overall positive but pls recruit staff wisely as you seem to be getting some strong feedback on this aspect - we would love small local businesses to do well so this is only a constructive criticism and hope this helps make it better ( fingers crossed )

Wish I could rate it higher!!!!! WOW amazing find and quite probably my favourite cafe in Leeds ... and dog friendly!!! It's not often that the stars align and a cafe comes up with everything you'd want in one place but Rand has it all. Superbly knowledgeable and friendly staff and owner, the food is excellent and beautifully presented, seriously jaw droppingly good cakes and treats, dog friendly (well behaved pooches only), library/snug downstairs with comfy leather sofas, reasonably priced and they roast their own coffee! We had afternoon tea £16 for two people!!!! Very, very happy customers 🥰
