After having our original venue cancelled by The Canal Club in Leeds with only 1 weeks notice before the event, we were left devastated that we had to try and find another venue within a week. We contacted & left messages for as many companies as possible and a very helpful young man from Revolucion De Cuba Leeds assured us he would get a member of staff from the events team to contact me as soon as possible. Julie The manager on duty that day called back immediately offering us some options & we arrived on their doorstep within the hour having just landed an hour earlier from Spain. She was extremely sympathetic, sat us down and offered us drinks whilst we talked through the menu choices and event schedule. Party night 26/7/25 From the moment we walked in It was absolutely amazing from start to finish, the atmosphere was vibrant, stylish, and perfect mix of party energy. The staff were outstanding – professional, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us create a memorable evening. From the planning stage right through to the final dance, they went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and stress-free. The space was ideal for a party – with plenty of room to dance, mingle, and enjoy the music with the added bonus of live music from the Havana Sound Machine. The Cuban-inspired vibes, lively playlist and incredible cocktails created such a fun & joyful setting. We also had so many compliments on the food – full of flavour and beautifully presented. The attention to detail really showed. Most importantly, our daughter had the time of her life, and we’ve had endless messages from family & friends saying what a fantastic night it was. Huge thanks to the team at Revolución de Cuba for helping us throw a celebration we’ll never forget and unforgettable memories. It truly exceeded all our expectations The space itself was ideal – beautifully lit, with plenty of room for mingling, dancing, and celebrating. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

This was my second visit to Revolucion Leeds. Went as a party of 4 and booked the table on-line with ease. When we got there it took a while for someone to come and book us in and seat us. Once we were seated we were attended to very well, a person on the table next to us shared that service was slow for their table and they had waited 45 minutes for their main course. We didn't have that issue, we had no issues at all in fact. Our waiter was polite and friendly, our courses arrived timely and we were all happy with our chosen dishes. I had grilled swordfish, light and very tasty. The atmosphere was buzzing, with the DJ at the back playing some tunes that made us move at the table. After eating, we had tequila shots and a couple more cocktails before going to the upper floor to dance. It's expensive if you drink cocktails all night, they're about £8, but if you have other drinks instead/as well you can spend a lot less. We had a fantastic night out and will definitely go again when next in Leeds.

I consider my stay in this restaurant a total failure. I came in with a great fun attitude and left totally frustrated. after placing the order, everything seemed to be fine, the waitresses worked perfectly, the drinks were delicious, when the tapas were brought to us, we immediately felt that the level of the restaurant had dropped, but regardless of this, we ordered the main courses, a burger, a sandwich and salad. we waited quite a long time for the order but we still had a great time after our order was delivered to us it turned out that there is no dressing for salad in the fold I kindly asked for only the dressing in the bowl unfortunately we didn't get it after 15 minutes after reporting the problem again it was suggested that they would bring a new fold I agreed which turned out I made a big mistake after 10 minutes my contribution was brought to me, unfortunately the salad was in a dressing with vinegar, it was impossible to eat it... I left very disappointed...

How we were treated by the staff & management has completely put me off returning to the branches in Bham/Notts. I ordered 4 drinks - 1 Desperado, 1 Vodka Coke, 1 Jack Daniels & Coke, and 1 Appletons & Coke. As the bar was busy when I ordered, I stood in the same place at the bar waiting for our drinks to be served. The bar tender made our drinks about 2 metres away from us further down the bar. Once she had finished, she left the drinks where she had poured them, did not bring them to us & continued to serve other customers! I was very shocked that a member of staff would do this for 2 reasons:

  1. This is totally unprofessional. I didn't order the drinks at the other end of the bar. And last time I checked, bar tenders brought the drinks to the customers!
  2. Leaving them unattended and not informing the customers, anyone could either take them or put something in them! As the bar tender walked past me to serve other customers, I asked her for our drinks? She stood & looked at me in such a rude manner as if I'd done something wrong. So I again, politely asked for our drinks and this time explained that we were waiting for our drinks but she didn't bring them to us. The bar tender now grabbed our drinks and brought them to us (still with disgust on her face). I now asked, which one is the vodka, JD & Appletons as the all had Coke in them and looked the same? She now turned to another member of staff and asked for management to be called on the radio. When the manager arrived, she now looked at me with an even more rude & look of disgust before saying, "What's the problem?" I totally did not understand why I was being spoken to and treated like this, so again I politely explained what the bar tender had done (but in this case had not done!) before now explaining once she eventually did being our drinks to us, now we don't know which drinks were what? The manager now took a straw, put it in each glass and tasted them all, before placing them closer to us and saying, "This is your JD, Vodka & Appletons....are you happy now!!!?" I was now completely gobsmacked!!! I have never experienced customers service like this in my life....anywhere....and especially not in RdC in Bham & Notts. I was thinking, with everything that has taken place in recent years regarding COVID, to taste other people's drinks is not very hygienic or pleasing on the eye. Nether-the-less, I didn't raise those concerns with the manager. As I passed the Vodka to my friends wife, I said to the manager (as she was still starring at me), "Thank you...but we haven't done anything wrong. I appreciate that you have found out which drinks are which but you never should have been called. The bar tender never even tried to resolve the issue and was very rude. We simply ordered drinks which weren't brought to us. And the bar tender who served us has a real problem and needs to learn polite customer service" The manager now radio'd someone else. I can only think it was security. I decided to go to the front door and approach the security in a calm and polite manner, simply to explain the situation which had just taken place at the bar and to assure them that we (my friend, his wife & I) are no trouble whatsoever and are simply trying to enjoy my birthday celebrations. The Head doorman seemed reasonable and kindly listened to what I had to say. He saw the manager walk over toward us so he explained he needed to speak with her first. When he returned he said the manager no longer wanted us (or me I'm not sure which) in the building. I now laughed and said, "that's fine, I would like a refund for the drinks I bought as I had not even tasted any of mine". He went back to the manager to express my view before returning and say the manager said the transaction was complete and your drinks were handed to you, so no refund will be allowed. The customer service we received in RdC Leeds by the bar tender & manager is absolutely by far the worst experience I have encountered in any bar I have...

I wanted to write this email earlier today but i had a lot of guests still visiting today for my birthday so i am only writing now. I wanted to raise a few issues i faced with my booking because unfortunately i had higher expectations from this venue especially that this is the 2nd time we celebrated a birthday here, we had my husband’s 34th birthday with yourselves in 2023 January and apart from that we go out frequently for random nights to Revolution de Cuba. 1st issue was that the booking was for 21.45pm confirmed on the reservation email but when the arrived there at 21.42 there was nothing ready! Security wasn’t aware they almost made us pay extra £6/ head and of person for entrance. 2nd issue they only prepared us a table for 8 people not 15 so i had to run around and find a manager to pull 2 extra tables next to ours and clean it . 3rd the waiters throw all the pre order drinks on the table at fast speed, everything was all over the place , they put all the drinks out at the same time, the ice melted in the buckets, glasses got dirty from spillage drinks got worm overnight . 4th we spent an extra £185 myself and another £150 my guests so overall £800 was paid for the table and this was 10pm-2.30pm in just 4.5 hours where i work myself usually earn this money over 7 days straight i would have appreciated the birthday feeling a little more 5th waiters always tried to take empty glasses clean the table while we have been still using them and again i had to keep asking for clean new glasses. Shouldn’t be me in high heels all dressed up nicely running around all night from the beginning to the end to get things sorted 6th the table we had was in the middle right on side so everyone was crossing over, sitting down, taking drinks so i also had to play the security/ bodyguard together with my guests so keep asking people to move/ to not take anything to make sure our belongings are safe we always had to guard he table get somebody from my guests to sit there while we are dancing and then change the guard again which wasn’t convenient at all 7th i received gift a bottle of prosseco which i had to leave at security entrance and remember to take it with me home at the end of the party which again after paying £800 I don’t think I needed a £10 bottle of Prosecco to be opened which was a gift but atleast the security guy short guy and bald didn’t remember his name he was very kind and looked after it in safe place for me 8th i got a surprise cake which i was not aware of i will get( my friend bought plastic plates and forks so we could enjoy a slice ) this also wasn’t allowed although i am sure that day time you are operating as a restaurant so couldn’t understand why a slice of cake would have caused an issue but at-least the one positive thing was that the manager guy put it into a fridge for me until the end of the night . But none of my guests could have any and let me say that cake cost £120 so wasn’t a cheap shop cake it was made as special order for me as a gift which again i was not expecting as it was a surprise ! But on other hand one of the waiters girl brought me a little sparkling mini firework for the cake which was a great surprise We did receive the 2 complementary bottles of Prosecco from you but taking in consideration all the above i feel like overall that was only enough to cover the change of table being moved from upstairs to downstairs. All the other issues mentioned above cannot be covered with Prosecco in my eyes I’m afraid. I also asked for you at the bar but i was told you are not working because i remember how kind you have been over the past few weeks talking to me via email.

Its up to you and the management of the venue how seriously you take my feedback and if you will do anything about this because after all i am just a basic random customer that wanted an unforgettable night for my 30th birthday which ended up not being the best...

Came here on Saturday night with a group of friends for dinner and some drinks.

1st impressions weren't great, a bouncer was throwing someone out and there were so many drunken people at the door it was difficult to get in.

Once in, we stood at the desk to wait for someone to seat us (we had booked ahead) it took a few minutes for someone to appear and show us to our table. This is when it became apparent that 95% of the people are here for drinks as the food section was almost empty, however the music was pumping so loud in this section its no wonder why people didn't want to come here for food. Our server couldn't hear us at all and even simple orders like a pint of beer became a game of charades. Surely the speakers in this section should be turned down/off until after food service had finished?

We ordered and about 10 minutes later the waiter came over to ask if i wanted my Mojo Chicken Cubano in a wrap or a bowl. I was very confused as a Cubano is a grilled toasted sandwich. Again i said it was a Cubano i ordered so neither option and he disappeared.

When the food actually arrived i had been given a chicken and rice wrap. Totally different thing to a Cubano. No vegetables, just chicken and rice, which was very bland. I had to ask for hot sauce to give it some flavour. Guess what? They don't do hot sauce. A Cuban food place that doesn't do hot sauce! I had to settle with tomato ketchup instead. No explanation was given as to why my food was different to what i had ordered. I even pointed to the exact Cubano on the menu when i ordered. What if i had allergies and he had decided to just randomly order something?

We were the last table in the food area and ended up being surrounded by drunken people so made a quick exit. On the way out of the main door our exit was blocked by someone dressed up giving out 'free shot' vouchers to those coming in. Would have been great to give these to people in the food area who had spent hundreds maybe first? That was the icing on the cake, don't think ill ever...
