Location Just a 2 minute walk from Millenium Square it's perfect for not being crazy busy but also being very convenient. Also, the bright colours outside make it an easy find!
Interior I thought the inside of the restaurant was lovely. There is a great feature board of photos and the furniture is all in good condition. The place looks clean and well presented.
Service Our server was awesome, very quick and friendly, cannot fault them. They obviously have some regulars as they were chatting with others about life. A very friendly experience!
Food/drink Let's walk through the food dish by dish
Starters Ribs - why are ribs sooo good! A healthy portion of succulent meaty ribs thicky coated in a rich sticky sauce. Even with the large portion I could have eaten more. ❤
Chicken Wings - crispy skins and unbelievably good sweet chilli sauce. Not much more needs to be said 10/10! 🙌
Chicken Satay - the peanut sauce is spot on! The chicken is presented nicely on skewers and has been marinaded for that full flavour experience. 😋
Mains Pad Thai - I only discovered Pad Thai during lockdown (crazy right?) But this one was great. I loved that they kept the peanut pieces piled at the side to allow the customer to put as little or as much as they like on the noodles, which were already packed with flavour. Obviously I still put them all on (oink oink 🐷)
Red Curry - a firm favourite for me and this one didn't disappoint, really rich and creamy sauce with a good kick without the discomfort of excess heat. Full of chicken and veg. Highly recommended! 😍
Jasmine rice - a good fragrant rice, couldn't eat it by itself but worked amazing with the curry.
Crackers - full of flavour, Hannah struggled a little with the heat of the Thai crackers so that meant more for me 😋
Drinks So I am always disappointed when presented with cans of drink but they were super cold and it's all the same really. If this is my only issue then I would say they have smashed it!
Price Checking the menu, I can say that what we had would have been just under £20 per person with drinks included. For a very decent lunch or evening meal I don't mind paying that. A main course is around the £8 mark which I think is good value.
Overall A solid Thai restaurant, conveniently positioned with welcoming service, tasteful decor, incredibly tasty food and...
Read moreHonestly, this place is AMAZING!! I used to be committed to Thai Aroy Dee for Thai food but after hearing about this place and coming here, this is my go-to spot. Not only is the food great, the service is extremely friendly and fast, and they do not force a service charge like most other restaurants.
The first time I came here I got the 4 seasons duck curry. I did not expect pineapple or grape in a curry but the sweetness gave it a very different and tasty flavour that complemented the duck. The second time I got the Khao Soi with pork belly which has a soft curry noodle base with added fried noodle on top - I love this one so much that I get it every time now! Everything I've had here has so far tasted amazing with a generous portion. For the drink I usually get the iced Thai green tea; if you like boba then you'll love this iced tea!
The servers would check on me each time I went to make sure the food was right, some even chatted. They are so friendly and speedy, and give good recommendations too. The food also arrived quite fast even when I went on a Friday evening.
I really couldn't recommend this place enough. If you love East/Southeast Asian food then definitely give this place a try. Every time I go it's a little quiet, it's actually a crime this place is not more popular considering for the quality of food, reasonable price, and such...
Read moreDon’t you just love it when you find a real gem in the city? Had a quick look at what was around us for dinner and came across this place. The fab reviews gave me high hopes, wasn’t sure as we entered and sat down but we have been pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Sri Non Platter, Corn cakes, Prawn Tom Yum, Guay Tiew Toon (Braised beef soup noodles), Chicken Pad Thai, Pad Ka Pao (Minced pork with chilli, garlic and basil with a fried egg), Massaman Curry with Chicken. The starters were so so, Thai fish cakes were good, they are homemade and not the machine made shop bought version. Haven’t had a Tom Yum soup that good in a long time, balance and depth of flavours was perfection. The beef soupy noodles was good, beef was soft, soup was flavoursome but for me, too much garlic, easy enough to ask for less next time. Pad Ka Pao was spicy and delicious, really authentic dish. We can’t wait to come back and work through the menu. I was going to give it 4 stars as the food wasn’t all 10/10 but the server was so lovely, super welcoming and friendly, they deserve...
