Brilliant pub for sports pub, we went in on a Friday night,start of the football season, it was like ChavCentral, full of poses and powters 😊 the staff were working flat out, and as an ex licencee I could not understand why the customers were being herded like sheep to a very small area of the bar to be served,when there was clearly other T bars that could have been used,nice big beer garden, food looked great, if your over 40 you will feel out of place on a Friday or Saturday night, we waited nearly 20 minutes to be srved because there was very little room for the staff to see who had been waiting because we were all crowded into a ten foot area of the bar, it was clean and tidy and in a good location for all transport, credit to the staff who were having to cross each other while serving,hence the 5 stars, staff,pub,food and location brilliant oh, and the sport tvs, just management need to sort out having a bigger serving area for the customers, as being served quickly with a nice smile and sitting down leaves room for the next customer, profits are made easier this way,if you have the room and pumps to...

I revisited today with my daughter. We both had been here previously and had a rather disappointing meal. Tony, the Manager had kindly asked back for a second bite of the cherry and on the house. Apparently the last meal must have been a blip? We were pleasantly surprised. The same friendly welcome. Tony was away on business, but the staff were aware of the circumstances and were attentive as before. I had the veggie curry which was really tasty and not too hot, as in spicy. The plate was suitably wiped clean. My daughter a pizza( which often look post frozen) was a descent size and particularly yummy. It too vanished. We were not expecting to, but Tony also offered us a desert of our choice, so hot chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream were summoned up. They too didn’t last long....
