Having eaten at the Adel restaurant several times and really enjoyed it we tried the Guiseley restaurant today expecting a very similar experience. We were sadly disappointed! The menu is different and there doesn’t seem to be as much choice, but the real disappointment was the food itself. We waited nearly half an hour for our food despite there only being one other table occupied who had already been served. We ordered two chicken fajitas and two chicken skewers. The chicken for all of us was beautifully cooked, but everything else was poor. The ‘salad’ consisted of limp leaves - clearly straight out of a supermarket bag - with no dressing. The bread which came with the skewers was half a baguette which seems a strange choice and the wraps with the fajitas again appeared to be from a supermarket packet. None of it bore any resemblance to the beautiful flatbreads served in Adel. The skewers came with a barbecue style sauce which again tasted like it was straight out of a bottle. The guacamole which came with the fajitas was definitely from a bottle, there was nothing fresh about it and the other sauce, which we assumed was supposed to be sour cream was just horrible. The chicken with the fajitas was just chicken, no peppers or onions. Apart from the chicken there was nothing fresh or appetising on any of the plates. It’s hard to believe that this restaurant, where the food was like that from a fast food chain, is in any way related to the Adel branch where the food is fresh and delicious. We definitely...
Read moreDrinks are way over priced. Was £6 for a bottle of beer and it came warm. When asked why it was warm they said it was because they had run out of ones in the fridge, so their solution was to give us warm beer. Starter were all really nice but again overpriced for what they are. We had so many issues with mains. Steak was overcooked and cold, we asked for another to be made which again was over cooked but at least it was hot this time. The chicken Tuana flavours are really good but again it came cold and it's £19 for a chicken breast, vegetables and cheese, there are no sides on it. Couldn't be bothered waiting for another one to be cooked as it did taste really good, was just cold. If they didn't serve the food on wooden boards this maybe wouldn't be an issue. The fajitas are terrible. It's chicken peppers and onions in a tomato sauce, nothing like fajitas and has no flavour what so ever. But they were at least hot. They've clearly spent a long of money on the decor and are trying to make up the costs by overcharging...
