Guiseley Pizza & Kebab — Local services in Leeds

Ordered via their official website our last order. We are regular customers and have had the worst experience, On Thursday we placed an order via their app we waited 3 hours and rang 14 times!! They did not pick up the phone once! We then noticed we had an email saying the order was cancelled and it was just by chance my partner checked emails as people don’t tend to routinely do this, we recieved no text or call to say it was cancelled and the website stated that they were still preparing the order. Anyhow, I called the next day to say the money was taken from my account and I was told it would go back in so I thought that’s fine as it’s just pending, over the weekend the payment cleared so I called back yesterday to inform them, the guy I spoke to didn’t have a clue and said that he wasn’t working that day and he didn’t know and to ring back the following day to speak to the manager. Then comes the following day I called and spoke to a guy who said the manager wasn’t in until 6pm and ring back so I’ve called a total of 16 times by this point. It’s now 8pm and no call from the manager even though I left my name, number, order number and amount. It’s technically theft as they have had my money for days and haven’t bothered to refund us and no one is taking accountability. We have spent £100s of over the years here and won’t bother again! The Timing; We ordered on just eat and it said 45 minutes. 90 minutes after ordering we called and were told it had just left the shop, which is 5 minutes away. 20 minutes after that phone call it finally arrived

The Food; My wife's pizza was pretty bad, but just about edible. Soggy base, too much cheese, not enough toppings or sauce. The fries were soft, wet and bland, though no worse than most takeaways. My gourmet burger was so bad that I took one bite, spat it out and threw the entire thing in the bin. It felt a bit like they bought a pack of 36 burgers from Jack Fulton's for £1 and blended them for the patties, then cooked them medium rare in an effort to justify the "gourmet" tag. Utterly, inedibly disgusting.

The Other Thing; I wasn't even going to complain about them originally because I'm often disappointed by takeaways, but since the order, I've been getting unsolicited texts from them every few days with offers of discounts. There's been no option for stopping these texts either. Personally, I think I'll just eat the money next time. It would be put to better use that way than buying another of their atrocious burgers and at least the money wouldn't send me messages I didn't want about discounts...

Hard review to write as the food is very good however the last two orders have not been checked properly. First time chips were missing from order they did call to say they would rectify on next order however as I order in the app to pay by card it's hard to get the msg across that I was told they would sort it. Last night however the order was missing two cans of Dr pepper and I was told by delivery they would bring them to which nobody showed up and nobody called. Will only order from here if I have cash available in the future to ensure I only pay for what I receive as in our of pocket by around £5 now. Not very happy as this was one of our go to places which has sadly fallen off our list now
