Fantastic Indian, very good quality, tasty food. Never seen so many varieties of pickles, all excellent quality. They even have strawberry lassi (though it actually tastes more like raspberry)! Highly recommended.
Update 04.2024: Booked table for 2 for 7:30pm, notified 2 waiters of our arrival. Finally seated at an empty table for SIX at 7:55pm, shortly after complaining about the wait. Standard of food is still very good, but I could easily have cracked a tooth on the plum pickle - they were just plum stones in sauce. I told the waiter and he said "they're all like that" and brought me another identical one with stones as if to prove his point! My friend had to leave early and I was then moved to a table for 4 across the room (actually 2 tables for 2 joined together). Around 15 mins later I was asked if they could take one of the tables, which I could hardly say no to. But they didn't stop there. They then started messing around with the layout of my side of the room, swapping round and square tables round right in front of me, as if I wasn't there. This kind of approach to customers is more reminiscent of Fawlty Towers, except this wasn't funny. Stars deducted...
Read moreDisappointing... I/we have eaten here before and the food has been very good, and the atmosphere has been great. Hence we returned on Saturday night 11/10/25 for another time. My friend who lives in Guiseley had made to booking over a week before for 19:00. A table for seven people one of us who required wheel chair access. I personally had traveled with my wife and friend from Liverpool to enjoy meeting my friends and have night out. we arrived and were asked to await the table being ready. We waited for 50 minutes without so much of a word from any member of staff as to why the table wasn't ready or available. They would not engage in eye contact. They never offered of drinks or any kind of indication of when the table would be ready. I went to the restaurant next door to see if they could accommodate 7 people. We had a nice meal and a great evening with friends. No thanks to the Mumbai Village. The Turkish restaurant "TUANA" was pleasant, professional and was life saver. Thank you
I will not be travelling again to Guiseley to eat at the Mumbai...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I've had in quite a while and let me explain why because it is quire complicated.
We booked for a table of ten and they showed us to a table for 8 with nowhere to add extra chairs. When I questioned the manager he just looked flustered and said he did not know what to do.
What would you do?
So we loitered.
After 30m the table next to us were done so we took their space. Then they took our drinks orders... Twice.
Another 30m or so drinks arrived and we ordered food.
One hour in and free poppadoms arrived to say sorry for the table.
90m in the starters arrived.
Shall I continue?
They get three stars because my main course was superb, tainted by a dreadful starter and service that can only be described as inept. In fact the service was so bad that if I could offer an award for 'Benny Hill' comedic-style dreadful service then I would.
We left after 2.5h, and 2 courses (plus poppadoms).
Would I go here again?
Only if they offered me a free meal to prove they are not...
