We had high hopes of this restaurant so we walked in off the street about 7.30 to book a table. The chap said it would be half an hour. No problem I replied, we will go and have a drink in the pub up the road. We came back half an hour later to be told, about 15 mins. Not a problem I replied we can have a drink at the bar. We actually ordered drinks and sat waiting to be seated. We waited and waited without drinks. I gave the waitress a gent all reminder, oh yes she said and then decided to go off and do something else. After about the forth time of asking I went to the bar and told the lady, please we have been waiting for over 40 mins and would like our drinks. Finally we got them. After an hour we got seated. Ignored for 20 mins and after I constant asked the waitress for service we got some. we shared a stated which was ok but service with no flatbread. After being ignored for another 30 mins we ordered out mains. These took about another 35 mins to come up and they were wrong. Chips instead of rice. Nothing was said so I called the waitress over and said, what is going on. Also note, during this marathon I have ordered no less then 6 lots of drinks and had been served one lot. The manager came over and apologised. It was now close to 11pm and we had only just been served our mains with chips because they had run out of rice!! Why didn't you tell us that I asked? Blank look back.
To be honest the food we did have was alright and just alright but the service was an absolute shambles! If they carryon like that they will go bust! I'm not sure what the mark up is on drinks but I bet it's where they make the money and I couldn't even by a...

Read moreWe've driven past Agora more times than I'd like to count in that past twelve months so we eventually decided to give it a try for my partners Birthday. We had a decent sized party for the event and I can't fault the food or the service as both were amazing throughout. Everything turned up on time and was certainty freshly prepared. The Seafood starters in particular were cooked to perfection. Nothing was rubbery as you'd sometimes get with Prawns, Muscles and Calamari from other venues. The mains were also exceptionally well done and full of flavour. Again nothing was too dry or over cooked all the meat was tender and moist. The only thing that knocked the full five stars was the Birthday surprise. I'd asked for something in the desert course to be done as you do and although my partner didn't order a desert something as simple as ice cream could have been given. Unfortunately they presented her with the surprise but in the form of someone else's desert. Yeah nothing like getting a Birthday surprise desert to then give it too someone else. Thankfully the rest of the evening more than made up for that minor blemish. Can't wait to go back when it's just...
